  1. Lamb Methi is my current fave. Last one i had was at the Everest and it was superb/
  2. Unlimited card and Orange Wednesday, Should call it gridlock wednesday. You would be better off getting your son an unlimited card and then you can go whenever. Wednesdays are a nightmare, especially if there is a new blockbuster out.
  3. Why dont regular cinema goers buy a cineworld card, £15 per month, minimum years subscription and you get to go as much as you want. The saving you make on tickets can then be spent on drink and food etc. Before you ask, no i dont work there but do have a cineworld card and it is good value if you regularly go.
  4. Only ever experience gridlock in Asda on a sunday, guess what, i dont go on a sunday anymore. Problem solved. If you experience Gridlock on a Monday, then dont go again on a Monday. Once again, problem solved. Life is as easy as you make it!
  5. Crucible Corner gets my vote, best steak i have ever had. Got a good selection on the menu and reasonably priced.
  6. Its a good place to eat if your easily pleased. Fine dining it isnt but if a burger is all you desire its adequate at best. Dont have the ribs, they are overpriced and over cooked. There are better places out there.
  7. Dunno...but if you get the chance then put your dense skull in the way of its transitional progress and tell us what we already suspect... instantaneous! Gosh Inexplacata, your either a believer or a redneck, which is it ?
  8. Perhaps they are investigating a link between Mad cow disease and unintelligent beings (Rednecks) Hence kidnapping idiots and feeding them selected cuts of beef from probed cows, testing reaction then partially wiping there memorys and sending them back into the population. The only reason i can offer for crashing there ships is because they are s$%t pilots. Heres an interesting question from an interstellar theory piloting exam. What is the stopping distance of your standard space ship whilst travelling at twice the speed of light ?
  9. Looking good in S14. No problems with Sky
  10. 79. Every 10 mins my Ass. Plus the drivers dont even know the stops they are supposed to pick up from. Used to think stagecoach were the best service in Sheffield but i put them down there with First.
  11. Bask in the glory that is a full day of PS3 and Beer. Oh if only !
  12. Crucible Corner for me. Consistantly good. Ate at the Old House a week or so ago. Slow service and very average food. Shame really.
  13. Red Lion at the back of the City Hall. 1980. Thursday and Sunday eveningd were Punk Night. Great times
  14. What do you expect for the town centre, if you want cheap drinks go to wetherspoons or a working mens club. Ok its not a bar on division street, its not full of young trendy people, like i said thats division street. What it is, its a nice friendly bar / restaurant where nice friendly people can meet, chat etc and not have to listen to loud music and worry about drunken idiots spoiling a good night out. The biggest plus for me is the San Miguel, Real Ale and good food. Yes its not the cheapest place and it doesnt have a pool table or loud music, Just the things that keep the idiots away. I look forward to my next pint of ice cold San Miguel.
  15. Why not go in and see what they sell. If the bar is fully stocked with products from just one brewery eg Coors (Carling, Grolsch, Stones Worthys etc) then its a fair bet it is own or operated by Coors. If it has a mix (free House) eg, Carling, Carlsberg Fosters etc then it will be a freehold and owned by a group such as Punch Taverns or it could be owned by an individual.
  16. Try the toilets on the Balcony level of the Lyceum Theatre. The most amazing toilets ever plus they are haunted. What more could you want
  17. Lets be honest, the food market is very much like the high street, its just full of large chain outlets which all produce from the same recipe book. If its not frozen or microwaved its not on the menu. Other than the cinema and the bowling alley, centertainment who benefit from a good WW2 style firebombing. When will people realise that these places care not for the customer but only for there share value. Stick with the local or little independant restaurants / cafe bars. The sooner theses faceless, tasteless and overpriced places are put out of business the better.
  18. Comedy Genious, it made me laugh anyway. The guy he was interviewing was a muppet, so well done Toby.
  19. Nope Rony and Paulette are definately crap. Should i compare them to Ken Bruce, jeremy Vine or Steve Wright because this is who they are up against. No contest really
  20. Whats wrong with Toby Foster, his double act with Paul Walker in a morning is good listening. I agree that Rony should give it up and i cannot listen to Paulette, i turned her off today for Steve Wright on R2. Much better. Howie was good when he was on, shame he got shifted and Footie Heaven can be interesting at time. Its far better than Hallam, my god that is crap radio, same songs over and over again, rubbish DJs and godawful adverts. Keep up the good work Toby.
  21. Gosh! the anger when i mentioned Carling Premier. It was well worth throwing into the discussion. I could have mentioned Stella (even though its bloody awful stuff), that would have wound you all up. In defence of you real ale weirdo ticker types. The best pint i ever had was a pint of Robinsons Old Tom straight from the barrel which was placed on the bar top. The Venue. The Good Doctor / Old Toad on Hoyle Street, does anyone remember it. I spent a large part of my formative years in there before it closed. i then spent the next chunk of those formative years drinking in the fat cat. So i do know my real ales. I just prefer it cold and fizzier these days
