  1. Again, near the Hillsborough area, on South Road, Walkley, Vito's. An excellent reputation.
  2. Knock down the Grosvenor and redevelop the whole of that block. Redevelop the roxy area. By revamping the whole of the castle market area you would bring the canal basin into play.
  3. Are we talking of the council landfill site?? I know there's plenty of land around there but is it all previously landfill? As for the name - suggests X-games style from the name. Are we talking a proper theme (alton towers) park or just an extension to the ski village/skate park stuff?
  4. There's obviously the old monk and the Ring a roses children on the Stocksbridge bypass and another little known one... (sighting verified by my scientific minded i.e. ghost non-believer uncle)... over at Kiveton Park, there's a lane up to a farm. If you take the main road to kiveton park station then cross the tracks at the level crossing, follow the road up and go straight across at the cross roads (this is particularly creepy at dusk!). Carry along and in one of the dips of the road, near to a stile and gate, a ghostly image should run across in front of you. thought the be the son of the local farmer who many years ago ran him over at this point in a tragic accident. How true? Find out. I've been there and over to Stocksbridge bypass many times and not seen a dickybird
  5. Bax aint selling Niche really. It'll continue for a while yet as its the only late nite club in Sheffield!! Surely there's a market for other clubs til 5am??
  6. Apparently Kingdom are relocating to the old NUM white elephant. Could anyone make the cinema place work or are the council going to convert it to other uses? Thursday night at Bed is going to be a stalwart for a few years to come. Excellent night.
  7. To be honest Tina, fellow men (not sure to call them that) like that would be that low wherever they go. I have been there in the past but would never ever think to be so downright rude and inconsiderate to a woman even in there or out! I should think that would go for the vast majority of their custom. It is true that the place is said to 'satisfy a need'. I do not agree. I see it as a different entertainment venue. How some lowlifes take it is up to them. BUT.... if it could be shown that it would keep that type of behaviour off the streets then they could close the place (no offence to you daBouncer). Unfortunately it won't.
  8. Hope you enjoy yourself when you get here. You should do. Nice friendly feel to the city and a good nightlife.
  9. A week last Saturday the bouncers trundled downstairs to stop a small altercation between a couple of lads. It was the weekend that Cardiff City came a calling but that could just be coincidence. before that I have not seen a fight downstairs for over a year. I might have possibly got over exuberrant on the dance floor but hey, everyones having a good time in the end. There was also a small spat between 2 girls which was dealt with quickly by the group of lads with them. All in all, a cauldron of fun with very limited trouble. Possibly one of the most fight free venues in the city!
  10. So what clubs have we got then? Casbah Charles St Kingdom (yuk!) Josephines (Yuk Yuk!) Corporation Po Na Na Forum Halcyon (sort of) Bed NCPM (Gatecrashers new venue for the mo) Roundhouse The Arches Leadmill (Yeah!) Any more?
  11. Oops, sorry. Never occurred. Will tell Glyn. Did you see the televised fight on BBC last night - Arturo Gatti against Mickey Ward? Very good fight
  12. Exactly my point! Why can't these sports superstars get some decent (by this we mean more than 1 inch) column space? C'mon you lot at the star, celebrate all our talent.
  13. Does anyone else relish the day when we see the score Wednesday 0 - Rushden & Diamonds 1??? Cant wait
  14. But then we'd have to be relegated! That cant be good. Apparently there's been 22,000 people infected with SARS in Sheffield. SARS (Severe Acute Relegation Syndrome) Toodle pip
