All people tend to club together with like minded people and each group or sect develops its norms. The norms of the group give people within that group a sense of "group superiority" over other groups. Some people for example get very fit, go to the gym lots and pump iron. People of this group feel superior to "heavier" people , this is a norm developed by the group. Some people who live in privately owned houses feel superior to council house dwellers and other renters.....AND RIGHTLY SO!:hihi: Some people with great wealth join clubs for similarly wealthy people and feel superior to poor people. There are no hard and fast rules, people claim superiority for many many reasons.
