Still going strong and passed last MOT with no advisorys

No need to be like that really is there? They are sensible cars and do have power behind them. They are bullet proof cars, built to last and go on and on and on. I own another one currently as they are reliable and never fail to start and so far never broken down in either of them. Comfy to drive and also they have an Over Drive button if it's auto like they both are. Gearboxes and engines will outlive anyone and can easily go round the clock in milage. I have owned new cars before and had so many problems with modern electrics and when one things goes it effects 30 other things, but with my carina's I have only ever replaced normal wear and tear parts and never broken down. I have always flattened the battery by leaving my lights on but thats about it lol! Which is a trick as they give off a warning sound if they are on when you open door. Anyway, each to their own opinion on cars I prefer older cars around 1986-97 no need to be nasty and attack in such a personal manner. I have always had jap built cars.

I am looking for a garage that ONLY does MOT testing please? Can anyone help? It's not in there interest to fail cars unless they actually have a REAL problem and they have to, coz they dont do repairs, so are more unbiast and honest. I am not making the mistake I made last year. Took my car to Kwik-Fit on a half price deal, only for them to tell me it would cost £280 to repair and pass MOT as they said I had a "vibration" on the brake pedal. Took it home, saw the pads were low, replaced them after it cost me only £45 for pads and discs, took it back and it passed without any problems. How can Kwik-Fit charge so much for something and constantly get away with it? They were not very helpful at all either and were so unfriendly! Also they wanted £67 a tyre, went to another garage got same tyre same make for £49!

I am privately renting. I was told you can get virgin media and they are all cabled. A few of the property sites I have seen say "communal sky dish" now to me that means communal cable then, and they have got it wrong themsleves. Ah well, virgin media it is then, as someone said all good things come to an end....but virgin is a tad more expensive.....have to work on my negotiation skills, although they will probably know I cant get sky there so will be a good battle lol! gonna need need one heck of a tall ladder to reach the 6th floor windows! Unless you mean the bathroom and front bedroom wondow only? -

Average price for an auto eletrician?
sheffladlee replied to sheffladlee's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Honda Concerto 91 Main beam works, side lights work but headlights dont. Like I said I have changed all fuses, checked earth wiring, taken out cleaned and replaced the switch (stalk), changed the bulbs twice and now ran out of ideas. Beyond my knowledge I think and I know a fair bit about cars, unfortunately not too brushed up on the elcetricla side. -
I have had a fault in my car for days, and after almost stripping the thing down to find the cause of the fault, I am miffed and baffled as to what the cause is after trying everything. So it looks like the only answer is an auto electrician. I have been put off by these from people telling me they charge extortionate prices for basially turing your car on and off for 5 mins. Can anyone tell me the average price for fault finding, or if anyone on here is one, can you please contact me with a rough price? Thank you.
