I don't mean to damage the thread but I'm soo against Lions Lair after the racist incidents that have taken place. I wish there were more gay clubs in Sheffield but I wouldn't mind if Lions Lair was closed down. I wouldn't go there even if someone paid me, they take racism to an extreme level and I wouldn't want to give them business to carry on.

I'm all for supporting the gay community by opening bars and clubs, but I'm totally against discrimination. Places like Dempseys bar and The cutler have wonderfully created a gay scene and is there is no discrimination there! Everyone is welcome whether your black or white whereas Lions Lair is not great at all for entertainment and the staff are very unwelcoming. Lions Lair is perfect for white people but it is known for racism so I wouldn't be going in there with any of my Asian friends.

I would Avoid Lions Lair, there are many other pubs and bars in the city centre. Some of my friends have visited Lions Lair and they've had really bad experiences with the staff... and personally I don't think they treat international customers the same.
