There's going to be a mixture of creepy crafts, face painting, walks with witches in Whirlow Woods, pumpkin carving and soup. Sounds good to me! Whirlow Hall Farm Trust are running a charity halloween event for children this year, on Friday 29th October. There will be all sorts of activities throughout the day including creepy crafts, apple bobbing, spooky stories and even a ghoul's disco with games and prizes. If you're unsure what to do with the little ones over half term, this offers a perfect halloween afternoon out. The event starts at 12 and runs until 6:30 (it will be dark by that time so remember your torch!) Tickets are £4 for adults and £2.50 for children, with all proceeds going to to Trust to help them continue their valuable work with disadvantaged and disabled children in South Yorkshire. Well, what a fantastic result for England in the football this week! The farm jumped for joy at yesterday's result because, not only are England through the group stages of the world cup, but now they will not be playing this Saturday night, leaving the evening free for a fantastic night out in Sheffield's most individual venue! With comedy from the last laugh comedy club, a pint of Sheffield brewed real ale and a Whirlow Hall Farm sausage in a bun rolled into the ticket price, this is set to be a great night of celebrations. Enjoy a fun & informative family day out at Whirlow Hall Farm. Walk around the farm & see all our animals, take a tractor trailer ride or follow the teddy bear trail ending with a picnic in the Hall garden! Kick back and relax with an evening of side splitting comedy, the city’s best real ales from Abbeydale Brewery and famous Whirlow bangers on the barbeque. Tickets are £20, which includes a pint of beer (wine or soft drinks avaliable too) a Whirlow banger in a bun and what promises to be a fantastic evening of comedy. We are looking forward to seeing our friend Toby Foster, the sharp witted (and musical!) Christian Reilly and Irish funny man Owen O’Neill! This promises to be a fantastic night, and great for groups of friends or coleagues.
