  1. hi i think its a great idea sending them to nursery or similar to interact with other children. my son went from 4 months and my little girl is going soon and shes 5 months, although this is because of work commitments, i think being with other children really helped his development, hes nearly 3 now. his speech is great etc. i have a childminder though who is fantastic and goes on lots of outings aswell but every child care provider does the same really! yes you would get some help with costs, no matter where you choose to send them. as long as they are registered
  2. hi, im posting this for a friend. basicly her children are 6,8 and 9. shes got a cleaning job at present and works 5-8 o'clock daily. shes been relying on family members to help but wants something more regular. so she would need someone for the children from around 4-9ish in the evening. she would like someone to have the children in her house or would possibly drop them off. i know these times are rather arkward but just thought id post on here to see if anyone has any ideas!! thanku! xx

  4. sometimes people can be on low incomes (but still working) and recieve a little housing benefit. when i was a single parent i worked as much as possible but still got some help with rent. not anymore as im living with someone who works full time and i still do part time. so, 'PLANK' your tread seems a little narrow minded..........

  13. hi, i started a tread about early morning waking, well ive tried the blackout blinds and not much luck amafraid. if he slept thro ad woke at 5.30 i could probably cope but he climbs out of his cot ad comes in to my room around 4 times a night, i put him stright back. apart from this, hes a nightmare during day, everything is 'i want' and 'no' and tantrums, hes such hard work. i have a 8 week old baby. maybe some of it is to do with jelousy but i have to pay him more attention anyway. im sure it is just a phase and his age etc etc but does anyone else have experience of nightmare little boys???!!!! and will it get better?! im absolutly at the end of my tether and so so tired.thanks, clare xx
  14. i was induced and had my baby girl on 29th of march, wasnt a planned one so didnt have time to worry. but it was fine, much easier than first natural birth!! when midwife had broken my waters, she was born within 3 hours. i didnt have the drip and moved around as if was a natural labour. really possitive experience! good luck xx
  15. thanks everyone, its nice to know others are in the same possition, just hard at mo cos my little girl is 7 weeks old and obviously waking during night aswell! oh well, will try curtains etc and keep telling myself its not forever! xxx

  17. hi, my son is 2 and a half and my daughter is 7 weeks old. we have also just moved house. my son has started getting up every mornig at 5:30 and wondered if anyone had any ideas! tried putting to bed later, it doesnt work!! i feel like im going mad and its making josh more grumpy and needing an early daytime sleep, like a vicious circle. also we have just moved to handsworth, does anyone know any good groups to take them to? thanks a lot, clare xxxx
  18. me and my friend took my little boy to endcliffe yesterday around 3pm. there wer 2 lads and a girl walking round drinking and looked like they were on something aswell! they had a dog with them, wonder if they were same lads?
  19. i was induced at 38 weeks due to colestitis. i had 2 lots of prostin, after the second, the midwife managed to brake my waters and within 2 hours id fully dilated and gave birth to my baby girl. i had morphine to 'chill' me out a bit but didnt need an epidual or stiches. it was much easier than having my son 'naturally'. just shows everyone is different!! xxx
