my dad worked on sheffield corporation waterworks for 40years he worked from edmund road depot .all the houses down charlotte road were occupied by water works workers the manager always lived in the top house next to the main entrance to the depot

iwent to see arthur haynes at the lyceum went to stage door after the show and got his autograph he put my name on one side of the page and to my sister in law on the other side of the page .won a competition with the the star and met bert weedon ,the mudlarks at the victoria hotel
