  1. Yes, it was a problem especially in the southern states and with older batteries. I think things have improved, but batteries will always degrade. There is some warranty cover though.
  2. It's possible to get on-street electric chargepoints. The government are offering money for councils to install them. http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/transport-travel/electric-vehicles/street-residential-chargepoint-scheme Unfortunately, you have to apply to your council to get one and most councils are not interested. I have contacted Sheffield CC about this and am still waiting for a reply. Doies anybody know what their policy is, if any?
  3. I once killed an electric oven by spraying the cleaning stuff too near the hole at the back. Beware!
  4. I believe Liverpool are experimenting with abolishing their bus-lanes. Presumably they won't allow parking in the freed-up lane. ---------- Post added 02-01-2015 at 16:55 ---------- As for Eccy Road, I suspect replacing Hunters Bar roundabout with a simple crossroads would help (but would look crap, admittedly). I don't claim to be an expert either, but I get the impression that a lot of bottlenecks in Sheffield are roundabouts. They just don't give the same throughput of traffic as a simple junction. The fact that most of them have traffic lights on the approaches suggests that the planners know this.
  5. The streets around Endcliffe Park are pretty bad too. Maybe we could persuade the local paper to publish mugshots of owners who don't clean up?
