  3. Hello Dear Friends My name is Kyle and this is my first time here. I have come here in hopes to find someone who will be able to provide me with suggestions, advice or directions on how to rid this crippling, debilitating and at times paralyzing lower back pain I have had for over 4 years .. All the Doctors I have met do not have any answers . My pain is relentless, 24 hours a day and at times and for no apparent reason I am blessed with periodic muscle spasms. I am unable to work, In fact I cannot even enjoy a meal with my Dad in a restaurant as I am unable to sit anymore than a minute and a half because of the pain. I have had MRI’S, CT Scans, Facet Joint injections . I have had 8 prolotherapy treatments (over $2000.00 worth ) and 80 injections into the area of pain and the only relief from that was from the freezing prior to the injection . When that wore off in about an hour the pain would return with a vengeance. I have seen a variety of Doctors including a Physiatrist (Known as a rehabilitation Dr) whom I felt may have the answer but after several appointments he said there was nothing more he could do for me .. The Mri’s indicated only mild discomfort and the results from the Ct scan’s contained little information , if anything at all. .I eventually obtained some disability . It helps me pay for my pain drugs which includes Oxycontin , (A drug I take with fear in my heart). . It is a bare bones disability and I still have to have to have financial support from my Dad .. One of the most distressing and frustrating events is to sit or walk (doubled over in pain) in a waiting room waiting for a Doctor while other (so called pain sufferers) sit comfortably reading a novel. The pain is apparently in the ligaments in the lower back and what’s more surprising and frustrating is when I point to exactly where the pain is coming from the Doctors only either suggest I live with it, or get a referral for physiotherapy where they talk about it . I don’t think I could even do that because I cant sit in one place long enough even to talk. What I would like to here would be a Doctor refer me to someone who specializes in ligaments (A ligament Doctor?) if there is such a doctor . I cant believe that with the technology of today that I cant find someone who can assist me . I am only 38 years old and I have a hard time convincing myself that I will be disabled for the rest of my life (with continuous dependence on pain pills) without work. Thanks for listening . I know there are probably many suffering from disabling pain and my heart goes out to them as well.
