  1. Could someone please tell me if this blood taking service is still available?
  2. Needed for 2 older people in their own home and who does not charge the earth. S5 area.
  3. I expected problems but reapplied for a renewal which they don't count as renewal - each form they view as a fresh application. Told to apply 3 mths prior to old one running out and did so by post after ringing up for form. Photocopied relevant documents and no problem at all. Got an email to arrange payment of £10 application fee as they no longer process cheques or postal orders and all in all got the badge very quickly. Much easier than before I found.
  4. Can anyone tell me if this shop is still open please? Tried calling their number but it just rings on and no one answers.
  5. I think it may be one of the Victorian semi detached houses on Main street facing the park. Try Google Streetview to search for it.
  6. I had the same problem with my aunt and I was her NOK. Approach her GP separately if need be to say what you think and if possible get a POA in place so you do have a say in her care. She should be assessed ASAP. Also if you are going to be her main carer or have responsibility for her do register with the Sheffield Carers Centre. They are brilliant in giving advice https://www.sheffieldcarers.org.uk/
  7. Many thanks - once sorted I will say more. This is more than just a nuisance or inconvenience.
  8. Many thanks - not like Lloyds etc or I would have gone to HO immediately. Different pharmacist it seems every day. R hand doesn't know what L hand is doing and several mistakes made.
  9. I am wanting to make a complaint about a pharmacy. I have complained to them already but no joy with them. Disinterested even though it is a really valid complaint on several points. Does anyone know where I should complain to within the NHS itself? Who monitors pharmacies?
  10. Yes there has always been some disabled parking in the car park and some on both A & B roads too. So when life gets back to normal - if it ever does - will there be enough disabled parking for all those that need it? People have to go very early for appts to try and find a space and it simply isn't an option for many to use public transport. Same at the NGH - You can drive round for ages trying to find a parking space let alone a disabled parking space.
  11. Just been today - be aware that the road that is open and had disabled parking on it now operates as a pick up and drop off point. Not sure whether they are being strict about monitoring this as some did park there but anyone disabled who attends regularly may not notice the change. The wheelchair sign is missing from the actual parking space floor. P.S The walk in emergency clinic is brilliant.

  13. Does anyone have a photo of the Crown on Crown Hill, Carlisle St?
  14. Is this site down again? I haven't been able to get into it for a couple of days.

  16. Am I right in thinking no pubs opend sunday lunchtimes? I know Working men's Clubs did. And weren't pubs closed Xmas day ?
  17. Our surgery was already doing telephone appts long before Covid. A duty doctor would decide whether you needed face to face or not - often someone who you didn't know . Now if you need a telephone appt and they are all booked you have to ring in the next day even though you know you will still need that appt. If you can get through that is. Even if you get the ringing tone it cuts off after two minutes waiting. Designed to put people off.
  18. Contact your local councillor - https://democracy.sheffield.gov.uk/mgFindMember.aspx?XXR=0&AC=USERSEARCH&ST=Enter name Email them so you have any ongoing 'talks' on hand as proof.
  19. Ronald Thompson was the vicar.
  20. We enjoyed that too and thought the lad who played Joe was brilliant.
  21. My other half recalls the animals for the circus in 1950s with the elephants walking along.
