  1. Far better are EU backed SOAR at southey and deepcar. Business link should refer you for business planning and launch. I've had a free business planner and finance advisor from them and their local contacts have been well worthwhile.
  2. Hi, I am a local call centre manager. Perhaps I can help... The most straightforward and least pressured call centre jobs in sheffield are at freemans. They handle inbound customer service and orders. Voice are not well respected, neither are Dixons (Capita), ant marketing or insight. Abbey are ok if you work for abbey themselves, not for capita or sitel their onsite outsourcers. Ventura is easy money but beware they terminate staff when they lose contracts. Have you spoken to Ikea? Their centre is next to dearne valley college, easy by bus. Why not try Bbraun at thorncliffe estate chapeltown, or learndirect opposite waitrose at the bottom of the moor in sheffield. BT still have a centre near debenhams on the moor and HSBC are very good at shalesmoor. The new ind est at ecclesfield has a number of huge office blocks being taken up, there are some medical suppliers moving in. They are on bus routes. Access to most call centres are by local high st agencies. Reed, Hays, Search and micheal page in sheffield are a good start. Final tip, we look for big personalities, great admin skills, creative thinking and reliability. Really push those skills to make employers show interest. Good luck.
  3. Hi, HSBC are now in the USA and offer free 'checking' accounts. Not sure who you bank with over here but a USD account is very easy to apply for. You dont need a USA address and can run it by internet banking.
  4. I agree it's not something you see every day. I can help you with natural products as I'm a distributor for forever living aloe vera, they have some amazing skin creams and treatments for skin conditions. I know that fitness first rent rooms, the one at Parkgate has just changed ownership and they had beauty rooms, a sports injury therapist and make up. Hillsborough has a sports massuer and hairdresser there. Why not speak to JJs gym at Bellhouse Rd Firth Park, theyre a female gym recently setup? Also, have you spoken to Beauty works at Abbeydale? I remember they had 3 or 4 tables for waxing, massage etc - could they rent you a table? Your trick is going to be planning and marketing. If you are serious about this I can put you in touch with the local regeneration team who provide free business planning, evaluation and access to training and really useful advice. I wouldn't be in business without their help. Kind regards and good luck
  5. Solicitors. Really efficient job from Graysons solicitors in Campo Lane Sheffield. To the point and not too costly for the result.
  6. Tiling and electrics. Gary at GEES electrical rescued my kitchen and attic refit from another contractor. He gave me his trade discount, accompanied me to various suppliers and finished the whole job neatly and even cleaned up afterwards. His work is by word of mouth and email address is: gary@g-e-e-s.com Superb job.
  7. It's really sad that such a quality company has failed. I've had two absolutely superb baths from them and was about to search for a shower room through them as well when I found this post string. One of my bathrooms have a HM bath in champagne, it's now 10 years old and still looks like new, although not the most in vogue colour it is tasteful with the sandstone theme in the room. I agree with a previous post that once you have dealt with them you install at the next property. I remember the plumbers merchants Cowen and Barrett being very loyal to them when they were around. I'll try to contact the new brandholders but they have a hard act to follow.
