  2. The old Limit stalwarts are more likely to be 50 rather than 40, having just turned 50 and I was one of the younger one's there !! Hope they create something contemporary and not replicate, although the Asteroids machine would be a welcome return.

  4. Am off up Broomhill and Walkley, Crookes tonight. Can anyone recommend the best curry house round there ? Heard Zara's is good.
  5. Dear clubfoot. Cricket Inn analogy to this opening is totally irrelevent. Why allude to a negative to somewhere that hasn't even delivered their first dish. Sheffield needs to fully support new openings and should just judge it on it's merits when fully up and running. However, you do wish them good luck so lets leave it at that x.
  6. I , for one, look forward to dining at the 'new' wig and pen. Having worked with Matt Hodkin for a short time, I know he can deliver great food and this will be a brilliant opportunity for a young talented chef to really shine and finally provide the city centre with a restaurant worthy of a long lunch. Good luck matt and don't let the ******** grind you down !!
  7. I am disappointed to hear you didn't enjoy your evening with us. 1. I wish we were in a position to guarantee a full house for your visit but Easter weekends are usually quiet due to people holidaying with family and Thursday and Sunday sometimes tend to get the trade. 2. The sea bass is spiced to appeal to all palettes. We have not received any other complaints on this dish. We have never served cauliflower in the green side vegetable dish. 3. The band on Friday and Saturday night is an integral part of the evenings and we find most people appreciate and enjoy this. The noise level is unfortunately something we cannot control to individual tastes As for the staff comments, how can we be more helpful to you ? I am a bit lost with the contradictions from being over helpful to unhelpful. Maybe you could have raised your complaint on the evening and I would have been most happy to try to address or allay your comments. As part of the management team here, I am always glad to hear of both positive and negative comments. We continuously try to maintain a high level of service and I note and will address your unhelpful staff comments. Please feel free to call me if you would like to discuss any specifics.
