  1. That's not what Dannyno and Jan meant. The dog died because of poisoning, we know that bit is true. However, there is no proof that the poisoning was deliberate.
  2. My brother grew up with an older sister (me) and a younger sister. We all played together. Sometime with cars and tonka trucks, sometimes with dolls and prams. We all shared each others toys wether they were intended for boys or girls. As long as we were all getting on and playing nicely, my parents didn't mind at all what toys we played with. I remember my brother once cried when my mum put myself and my sister in matching dresses because he wanted to wear one as well! My brother is now 25 and he is straight. (not that any of our family would have minded if he wasn't) Playing with dolls and prams didn't make him grow up to be any less of a man! Let children play with whatever makes them happy!
  3. Why? What's the difference? Why shouldn't a boy be allowed to play with a pram? In what way will it make him 'act like a fairy'? If a boy wants a pram, let him have one! Do you think grown men pushing real babies in prams are also acting like fairies?
  4. According to Google the address for Sheffield Dog rescue is 6 Bishops Court Road.
  5. If anyone can help the OP, please message them via the PM facility. To the OP, I don't wish to lecture you but please think it through properly before going ahead. Can you afford all the vets bills if anything goes wrong with either Mummy dog or the pups during/after the pregnancy? Are you willing to get up every 2 hours during the night to hand feed pups if needs be? Do you already have good potential homes lined up for any pups? Are you willing to do home checks etc? Please also ask yourself do we really need any more pups? The rescues and pounds are full to bursting. There are so many dogs waiting for new homes. Many don't get that far and are sadly put to sleep simply due to overcrowding. Please think very carefully before going ahead. Thank you.
  6. Maybe the name is a little misleading! Netherlands Dog Rescue is in Kilnhurst, Rotherham!!
  7. All very deserving charities! I'm going to add Netherlands Dog Rescue to the list for you to consider
  8. I've copied the rehoming template into your post. Please 'edit' and fill in the answers. This must be completed if you wish to advertise the rabbit on here. Thank you.
  9. I've used Arena Motor Services quite a few times. My ex boyfriend also takes his car there. Never had any problems. Fair prices and always done the job well. So if it's still the same guy that owns it when I last went (his name is Tony) then yes, I recommend them
  10. Sorry to hear that your cat is missing. I hope she returns home. If she does, please get her chipped asap.
  11. I did an 8 hour shift yesterday and in that time, around 30-35 people asked if they could have a carrier bag. When they were told they'd be charged 5p for one, only 3 of those people actually bought one. The rest either put their goods into their handbag, pockets etc or just carried their stuff themselves. So I think it really does make a difference. Lots of people also had their own bags yesterday.
  12. The bags that Sainbury's now sell for 5p are bags for life. When it starts wearing out, return it and we will exchange it for free. All old bags will be recycled.
  13. Hello. I've copied the rehoming template in to your post. Please 'edit' and fill in the answers. This must be completed if you wish to advertise your cat on here. Thank you.
  14. Time Scale – How Urgent? Not urgent. Sale Amount- N/A Location- Parson Cross Approximate size now and full grown size- Mainly small, few larger ones. Minimum fish tank size needed- For all the fish, approx 100L Any Current health problems- None. COmpatibility with other fish- All community fish Beginners, moderate or experienced levels of fishkeeping required- Beginners Easy to feed- Yes. Live food, dried food, frozen or fresh- Dried flake food plus some frozen veg/blood worms. Destructive Behaviour- None Temperature range- 22-25 degrees Tropical,Coldwater,Marine or Brackish water required- Tropical General information that you can share: I love my fish but I suffer from OCD and can't stand when the tank starts to look dirty (and my meaning of 'dirty' is unlike anyone else's!) Two days after cleaning, I'm wanting to clean the tank again. I simply don't have time to do it every two days and I know doing it so often isn't healthy for the fish. So after the first two days after cleaning it, all I do is stress about it and try my hardest not to clean it again! Anyway, in the tank i have: 8 x Neon Tetra 7x Glow Light Tetra 4x Mollies 9x Harlequin Rasbora 1 x male Pearl Gourami 1 x female (I think) Bristle nose Plec 2 x African Dwarf Frogs Most of them are around a year old, some younger. None have any health problems. One Harlequin has an eye missing which doesn't affect him and one Neon has always swam upright. The Plec loves a piece of courgette so I have one in the tank all the time (I buy in bulk and freeze) as well as an algae wafer every day. The frogs are a little more complicated. They are used to being hand fed! I feed them blood worms using tweezers. They need feeding every 3 days or so. The rest of the fish just eat dried flake food and always enjoy the extra bloodworms that the frogs don't eat. They all currently live in a 110 litre tank. If you want the tank as well, it would be £100. The tank is spotless, less than a year old and in perfect condition. It's an Interpet tank, no stand. It would come with filter, heater, air pump (double outlet), large gravel vac/syphon for cleaning and gravel and ornaments if wanted. Please PM if interested. Thank you.
  15. I think it's a really good idea. Lots of people don't like leaving their dogs with groomers but aren't able to bath them in their own home (If the dog is too heavy to lift into the bath for instance) This is the best of both worlds. The dog is able to have a proper bath but doesn't have to be separated from its owner. It's not something I'd personally use (as you know, Roxy doesn't mind being left in your capable hands!) but I do think many would find it really useful. Price wise, I'd expect to pay around £15-£20.

  17. In your other thread (which has now been removed) you mentioned that the reason for rehoming this dog is because she has started fighting with your other dog and it's so bad that you fear one or both of them will be hurt. So it's probably advisable that this dog is rehomed as an only pet. If anyone is thinking about taking on this dog, please consider this before making your decision. The thread will now be locked in line with forum rules so if you can help the OP, please contact them via the PM facility. Thank you.
  18. Go onto your insurers website, login in to your account (or create one if you don't already have one) and you should be able to print it from there.
  19. I don't often visit charity shops, but sometimes I will pop in if it's for an animal charity. I don't tend to bother with any others.

  21. Have you informed the pound that you've got her? You must do this by law.
  22. Most supermarkets sell them. And places such as B&M, Home Bargains and Poundland.

  24. Next time the dogs get in to your garden, take them to the council pound. Having to pay the release fee might make the owners think about making sure their dogs are secure in future.
