  1. Hi Kalid. Your dog is in the pound on Spring Street. Please give them a call to arrange collection.
  2. I think the OP was looking for a professional, fully insured dog walker.
  3. Owner knows where the dog is and will be collecting her soon. Thank you for posting
  4. I've copied the rehoming template into you post. Please 'edit' and fill in the answers. This must be completed if you wish to rehome your dog through the forum. Thank you.
  5. The daughter isn't a child though, she's an adult with children of her own!
  6. I know, bless her. Not only has her dog gone but her own dad lied about it as well. It definitiely won't put us off, we'll be back out searching as soon as we've got one to look for!
  7. The dog has been located, she was never lost! Turns out the owner sold her on Wednesday night. He didn't want his daughter to know so told her the dog was missing. The daughter posted on Facebook reporting her as lost. The new owner has been in touch this evening. I have seen photos of the dog and proof of purchase, I've also seen pictures of the dogs KC documents with the old owners name etc on. The dog spotted in Shiregreen yesterday afternoon was obviously a different dog and hopefully made its own way home safely. A few of us were out late last night searching the woods and fields in pitch black. We have all wasted our time and effort and put ourselves at risk looking for a dog that wasn't even missing. Thank you to everyone that showed concern and shared her post, I can only apologise for the time people have wasted.
  8. That's correct. The dog was seen and photographed around 2pm yesterday and hasn't been seen since
  9. No, she was only seen. The person saw her, took a photo of her but was too scared to approach her as she was barking. She tried following her in the car but the dog went down a road full of snow so the person couldn't follow and then she lost sight of her. That was the last time she was seen.
  10. I know. Only 1 sighting of her in 36 hours. As soon as she was spotted on Shirecliffe, a group of us went to look but there was no sign. A group of us have just been out again and searched the field behind the tip and had a drive up to the ski village but still nothing
  11. Fudge, a Dogue de Bordeux has been missing since yesterday morning. She was sighted early this afternoon around Musgrave/Longley Avenue West area but despite lots of us searching the area, she hasn't been seen since. We believe she could have gone onto the field behind the tip so she could have gone in a number of directions. Maybe towards the Ski Village or towards Hillsborough. If you are anywhere near the area, please keep an eye open for her. She may bark at you if you approach her but she is friendly and good with other dogs. She's been missing for a while though and is probably scared, cold and hungry. She is microchipped and dog wardens are aware that she is missing. Thank you.
  12. Hopefully the dog wasn't hurt. It's not always as bad as it sounds. My dog was bitten in the face 4 times by a Jack Russell 2 weeks ago. After the 4th time, my dog decided enough was enough and grabbed the Jack Russell by the scruff of the neck to stop it biting her. The Jack Russell squealed and yelped and made one hell of a noise! My dog kept hold of it until it calmed down (this was a good 5 minutes) but when my dog let go, the other dog didn't have a mark on it. The only thing she'd done was leave a soggy patch on it's neck. But from the noise it was making, people would have assumed the dog would be injured. Also, if you're ever in a similar position again, advise the people around not to scream or shout. This can actually make dog fights worse as the dogs can take the shouting as encouragement.
  13. The OP hasn't said that the dog doesn't like the other dogs so I don't think that is the issue. East livin, You seem to be under the impression that the dog is barking because she's scared. The OP hasn't said that the dog is scared of anything, just that she barks at things. Dogs don't only bark when they're scared. They can bark out of boredom or even just attention seeking. She said the dog barks at the tv, washing machine, post man and even when out on walks or in the garden. She won't find a home without any of those things! If the dog is barking because she's scared, as Medusa says, the dog can be taught to overcome her fear of that particular object and then she won't bark at it. So no, she won't be a quiet but unhappy dog! She'll be a perfectly happy dog having overcome her fear!
  14. What does the dog hate?? The issue is with the dog barking at things. That can be solved with training. If she was rehomed, the dog would still bark at the tv, washing machine, postman etc. She'd just be someone else's problem!
  15. Yeah, that's right. Instead of training the dog and helping it to become happy and well adjusted, just get rid of it. Job done! This is the reason why so many dogs are ending up in pounds and rescues. Because people just get rid instead of solving the problems and working with the dog. The OP clearly wants to keep the dog and do right by it. Ridiculous comments like yours don't help!
  16. Aww, I'm so sorry for your loss If you're confused then maybe now isn't the right time to get another dog. Take some time to grieve and eventually you'll just know when you're ready to get another dog.
  17. Nobody will pay you to walk their dogs if you've not got all the relevant insurance, CRB's checks etc.
  18. I've copied the rehoming template into your post. You must complete this is you wish to rehome through the forum. Just 'edit' and fill in the answers. Thank you.
  19. Won't the RSPCA help? EDIT: Just to let people know, Ive not asked the OP to fill in the rehoming template as they probably wouldn't be able to answer any of it.
  20. A lot of places don't take duvets or pillows as they're too easily destroyed by the dogs and aren't easy to clean. They prefer fleecy blankets, towels etc. Some make take them though so it's still worth asking
  21. Neons should be in groups of at least 8, preferably more. Also, a small tank isn't big enough even if there are only 2. Neons like to be able to swim quickly from one end of the tank to the other so they should be in a long tank.
  22. PandA are good, that's the closest place to the City Centre. (They're on Needsend Lane) Apart from that, the only other decent places to buy fish in and around Sheffield are Elm Lane Aquatics and Wentworth Garden Centre.
  23. You've answered your own question. They used to work for Local and now they work for Apollo!
  24. Meadowhall opens at 9am Monday to Saturday and 11am on Sunday. The park and ride car park is the best place for what you want. Should easily find a space before 8am.
