  1. Looks like the flying ants are using the cars in S8 as a stop over for the night. Not sure if there is a Queen flying ant but 1 or 2 of them are huge.
  2. love the colours in the last two. How did you take these (tripod/settings etc.)as would love to try it next time I am down there.
  3. Thanks - its one of those pictures where you don't appreciate what you have taken until later. Not done any editing just used a polariser filter to boost the colours.
  4. Picture from Nyhaven Copenhagen from a recent trip. Hope you like it.
  5. Hi Milly, Is this the shop on the corner that used to be the post office? I think he did a runner a couple of months ago with quite a lot of peoples money. We are meeting family from Bakewell this afternoon I will try and find out what happened. Andrew
  6. I took the picture from the front of the boat hence no wake. Think it was f8 and I kept slowing the exposure down until I got the shot I wanted. Still learning and experimenting. Of of the 100's I took that week I got about 10 or 12 I am pleased with.

  10. Hi Graham, He was my uncle and he lived next door but one to the factory with Doreen his wife. Sadly he died 2 1/2 years ago and Doreen joined him October last year. I always remember as a child listening to him on his amateur radio. I think i get my interest in gadgets from him as well - I remember him buying a very (very) basic video game and we played it to death. I didn't know much about his work when he was alive but have been interested in reading this thread and learning what British Relay was all about.
  11. We live on cliffefield road and we had a brick and re-einforced concrete shelter at the front. Believe it served 2 or 3 houses. We had to knock it down to carry out improvements and was sad to see it go. It did take the builders 3 weeks to knock down so i guess it was built to do its job.
