  1. No it would not protude beyond the area of the leasehold.
  2. Just found copy of lease, its only got another 700 or so years to run! (800 years from 1951)
  3. £9/year. Don't know remaining term, deeds are with bank (would landlords agent know this?). Sorry don't understand points a and b? We don't own the leasehold?
  4. We have already been granted planning permission with no mention of contacting landlord. Its a house and we have lived here for 6 years. The annual ground rent is £9 and not sure how longs left on the lease? We don't object to paying a fee but were suprised by the amount and questioned how this figure was arrived at.
  5. Does anyone know anything about this? We are in the process of getting plans for an extension and were informed that we would need permission from the ground landlord to do the building work. We applied and have been informed that he will grant permission providing we pay the fee of £900! When I phoned for more information on how this figure was calculated I was informed that there is no set fee and its at landlords discretion? He has also turned down our offer to buy the remaining lease (which they are obliged to do if you have owned property for more than 2yrs) which we believe would cost less than £500. Is it just me or is he a greedy old goat? Does anyone know if we have any grounds to challenge his figure without taking on a very expensive legal battle?
  6. there's a shop on chapel walk that did mine for £10!
  7. Do they eat veruca's, or would that be animal cruelty????? Have spent a fortune on bazuca.
  8. Hmmmmmm, not really into yoga. I like to feel like I've done some exercise and worked up a sweat. But will look into buggy fit, ta!
  9. If your pregnant and fancy keeping in shape I can highly recommend the exercise classes led by Kate Campbell (keepmumsfit.com). Attending Kate's classes during my pregnancy was a great way to get some exercise and meet other mums to be. It was also reassuring to know that she was a qualified midwife, just in case............. After delivery I attended her postnatal classes which were a great way to kickstart my fitness regime and motivated me to get back into shape. I have met some lovely people and plan to continue to attend her fun fitness sessions for as long as possible. Check out her website for more details.
