I am 99.9% certain that this "sporting redevelopment" will never happen. DVS will be flatend, the site will lay empty for five years whilst money is wrangled about and then eventually houses and a Sainsburys will be built on the site.

Has anyone else noticed an increase in the number of mounted police in Sheffield over the last few days? I usually only see them at football games but over the last week I have seen them in at least three different locations, the latest today on Granvile Road passing All Saints School. No doubt the hi tech replacement for The helicopter.

Neither, they work for a department store, not in direct competition with TESCO, and heard this discussed at a traders association meeting, no need for them to make it up if that's what you are trying to say?

Just been for a few drinks with a couple of friends who work in retail and the conversation got around to the New Tesco at the end of the Wicker. According to them it's been a massive flop for Tesco and they are losing money hand over fist on the site. Customers are 60% down on predictions,and the person who recommended the project has "left"the company. I have only been in the place once and it was late at night so I cannot tell from personal experience how it's doing but it doesn't sound good for them. Was this a supermarket too far for Shefffield?

Speaking as a Blade I think I would rather have Root Canal Surgery with no anesthetiser present than play Wednesday in a Play Off final. Painful enough watching us lose to other sides let alone that lot
