  1. As anything happen with this because we tried to look at it four years ago with Crapper and they wouldn't allows to look at the weekend? Anyway we had a look around but were put off by the lack of vehicular access and the rudeness of the EA.
  2. I don't know if it was Belgique or French but the bar we went to was full of Francos and French speaking West African students. I think it had either something solar or lunar in its name - it was near the University of Wuhan. ---------- Post added 28-11-2013 at 23:33 ---------- Found it on Google - Blue Sky Cafe!
  3. I had a great hotpot in Zhuzhou and actually dated a French girl in Wuhan when I was in China. Do you know of any authentic Chinese restaurants in Sheffield?
  4. GCSE Maths and English Lang are free to anyone that doesn't already have grade C. It is part of the ongoing campaign to equip everyone with the minimum standards required by most employers. Once you get the C then sorry but you have to pay again unless you forget to mention it when you enroll again. Do you want to be a teacher with you wanting to undertake GCSE Science?
  5. How early to you have to get to the Park and Ride at Meadowhall or Centertainment on a weekday to get spot?
  6. You don't mean Grange Lane by any chance? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grange_Lane_railway_station_(Sheffield)
  7. Has anyone applied for one with a conversion certificate?
  8. What a top guy Bikertec is. The roads in that area (and the all of Sheffield) worry me because you can easily get stuck in a rut and come off. My OH rides on Barnsley Road everyday on her scoot and I do get worried about her.
  9. Try the Journalism department at Sheffield University because they have quite a few Norwegian students and alumni. I used to live with a Norwegian when at uni.
  10. Looking for somewhere to go for lunch on Friday in that area and was wondering if the Lebanese restaurant on the end of Carlisle Street is still open, if so do they do lunch and is it any good?
  11. Which building were they looking at, RBS or the blue Paradigm building?
  12. I recognised the date They must have had a huge consignment of them. Have they been reduced down from 2.99 now they are out-of-date?
  13. It's not Black Sheep in cans from R&B, is it?
  14. I have two 'Art Vinyl Play And Display Record Flip Frames' on my wall for my vinyl. My friend who is a shopfitter recommended them because he used them in a prestigious office development. Yo can get them from play dot com but they are currently £39 but were £23 when my OH got them a few years ago.
  15. This was up for sale through auction over two years. We wanted to look at it but the auction company wouldn't show around at the weekend because there was too much interest for them to get off their backsides I wished British estate agents would do something to earn their commission. We looked from the outside and it seemed a good size but a small garden with no vehicle access and just a footpath to get to it. From looking on RM it seems that it has had nothing done except they got planning permission.
  16. They should have allowed a market on the road between the Tavern and The Place, that would have created more business/atmosphere. I heard that they weren't allowed to close the road because the police wanted 24hr access. the problem with Broomhill is the lack of an affordable supermarket - Spar is worse than Somerfield for the prices they charge. At least there is still RC and Remos
  17. We bought all the furniture (exc beds and sofas) for our house from there. Really good quality solid wood that you would find in the middle ranked chains (Barker and Stonehouse). But the owner, David, is very arrogant and knows nothing about customer service. I once had argument with him in the store regarding a purchase. Also the dining room we bought started splitting along the join. It took over ten calls to get a replacement. With regards to free delivery - they think that they are doing you a massive favour and David once stated this. But, this is included in the price and he isn't going into his profits to provide. It does pain me to line his pockets but they have good furniture but don't the beds or sofas because they look like something that Argos would stock. Overall, if you can tolerate ****e customer services to get good quality furniture at a good price buy from here.
  18. I have just objected. At this rate Sheffield will be like a mid-western US city with all its heritage gone, replaced by concrete boxes. I am ashamed of my overseas relatives coming to Sheffield centre because of what it has turned into.
  19. I agree that it is a total rip-off. We just go for a browse around and get ideas. Just looking at the price of toys in the toy section is crazy. You can get the same items on Amazon for 60% of the price. Same with the plant pots (big ceramic ones) and plants, you can pick them up at half the price at other garden centres. I can't believe that they are charging to get to get into the ornamental gardens. Wentworth itself is becoming more of a rip-off. The George and Dragon provides average food at stupid prices to the tourists but believes that it is a gourmet restaurant.
  20. Looking for a registered chimney sweep to sweep my Clearnburn Lovenholm stove in the Rotherham area.
  21. Cheese Bottom - near Penis-tone and Top of Dodworth Bottom
