  1. I apologise Moonbird! Here are some pictures! Lol! There is the B&W cat Zaghe, the grey cat Sumo, my new bunny - Poppy, and my Grandmas dog who is a regular visiter at my house called Bobby. Hope you like! http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/yy333/LeeshyXX/Bobby.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/yy333/LeeshyXX/Both.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/yy333/LeeshyXX/Poppy.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/yy333/LeeshyXX/Sumi2.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/yy333/LeeshyXX/Sumo.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/yy333/LeeshyXX/Zaghe.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/yy333/LeeshyXX/Zags.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/yy333/LeeshyXX/sumi.jpg My babies xxxxxx
  2. Me and partner were in talks about getting a bunny rabbit. Not a baby, preferably a rescue as it makes me feel so much better giving an abandoned/neglected animal a loving home. Well discussions turned to reality yesterday as we went to pets at home to buy cat food and I fell in love with a lionhead cross. She’s called Poppy and is a 2year old ‘still intact’ female. She’d been brought to pets at home as her owner could no longer keep her, and it transpired that the previous owner had kept her in the hutch for 2 years – not allowing her to run in an open space. She is very nervous of humans and very food aggressive. It broke my heart and I signed the forms to adopt her there and then! We bought a hutch and the all the necessary and brought her home. At the moment she is in our attic – she has around 10sq m of space to run around in and seems happy. She’s got her hutch etc as well. I’m wanting advice on 3 things, mainly because I have never owned a rabbit before. Please don’t leave negative comments as I can assure everyone that this bunny is going to be very well looked after and spoilt!! Whether I’m experienced in keeping Rabbits or not! 1) What do Rabbits like to play with? Eat as treats etc? Any general advice would be much appreciated. I only really know the basics. 2) Will it possible to introduce Poppy to my 2 cats? I really want to keep her as a house bunny. And it would be fantastic for all of them to get on. I’m just worried they might hurt each other. While I’m home I would be supervising all the time and while I’m out I would put her back in the attic. 3) What could I do to make her more comfortable around humans and not nervous of me? She lets me touch her but she gets very jumpy when you approach her and kind of grunts and shunts forward at you. Many Thanks for all who help me!!

But then again, most women have a higher pain threshold then men. I am not trying to cause a posting war with that comment, but from personal experience I have found this to be true. Reason being I have known a couple of tattooists for a long time now, they've been in the business 20+years and both have said women cope much better than men! My partner has the exact same tattoo as me on his ribs (it was our anniversary present) and he couldn't take it, he was sweating, wincing, holding his breath etc where as I handled it pretty well compared to him. Even the tattoist was laughing at the difference between us!
  4. I've had 9 tattoos. One on each foot (Easy!) One on each wrist (Easy again - felt like someone drawing on me with a felt tip pen!) One round my belly button (Not that Sore) Two in my bikini line (Couldn't even feel those!) One on my lower back (First time easy, re-doing a bit sore) And One on my side under my arm on my ribs (That was my most painful but still not bad. It took about an hour and a half laying on a cold table topless and throughout I never winced - I just kept talking to the tattooist!). I can honestly say that the pain isn't as bad as people make out. If it was so painful and sore and all that crap would I really have 9? And I'm planning more! It stings, but so does cutting your legs shaving or plucking your eyebrows. Does it stop you from doing these things? No! Because it's bearable. That's kind of how I feel about tattoos. The pain is stingy and scratchy, but not half as bad as people make out. Trust me. My family always takes the mickey out of me saying I can't handle pain, so surely it can't be that bad of an experience if I can handle it. And in all honesty, I find piercings much more painful! (eg belly button, inside ear and nipple!)
  5. I bought a female kitten when she was around 10weeks old back in July. In November I fell in love with a 7 year old male cat who needed rehoming and he also came to live with us. I kept them in seperate parts of the house for around 4 weeks while I was at work and when I was home I would leave the doors open so they could meet. The 7year old was a very grumpy cat and very set in his ways, they would hiss at eachother for hours sometimes giving eachother little wacks. But thankfully over time they got really used to each other, they still have their spats daily when they chase/fight/hiss but it seems it's in a more playful way now. And I can honestly say that where ever one of my cats is, the other isn't far away. I've caught them snuggling and grooming eachother on many occasions now and we have a happy home. So I agree that if you have the time, patience and space, it will eventually work. They may never be best friends but they will appreciate the company as mine do. Another idea is to make sure they have their 'safe' places. My older cat is quite large and not as athletic as my young one. The young jumps on top of the wardrobe when ever she's had enough and the older one can't get near her. I hope this helps.
  6. Hello! Try GBuilding Services. A guy called Steven came out to quote me for a bathroom, I wanting all the lot ripping out, then I wanted it plastering, tiling and a new suite putting in. He came out one evening, gave me a quote a few hours later when he'd worked out the cost for materials and labour and he started it 2 days later. The price was cheap (cheaper than all the other quotes I'd had by well over a grand) and he did the job to a very high standard. He wouldn't leave some nights till 10pm until he was satisfied with the work he'd done. Give him a call on 0777 244 57 83. And tell him I highly recommend him. I've even had him back since for other jobs! Leesha x
  7. Try G Building Services. Cheap, Clean and Professional. I've had him do loads of work for me and I will be going back after this payday to get my attic Plastered. So far he's done my bathroom and kitchen and he did a great job - it didn't cost the earth either! Call Steven on 07772445783. Tell him I recommended him - might give you a discount! Lol!
  8. Try G Building Services. Very cheap and professional. I can afford to use him anyway and I don't have much money :-( He's called Steven and his number is 0777 244 57 83.
  9. I forgot to add that we also have a corn snake that might need watering and feeding. Would she cover that as well? The snake wouldn't need cleaning out or anything.
  10. Thanks for that Spiritangel1. Have you got an email address/phone number for her?
  11. I know this is a bit random, but I'm going to Scarborough with my Grandparents Mon 19th Apr - Fri 23rd Apr and I was wondering whether anyone on here would be able to take them Mon am and keep them until Fri pm. I'd provide all food, bedding etc and probably pay someone for their time. I don't want to put them in Kennels and I don't just want to give someone a key to my house to feed and change their litter. They need attention! And lots of love. They are both indoor cats and are fully vaccinated and 'done', they are both up to date with their fleaing and worming. And they are both fully kitty litter trained. I just want them to go somewhere they will get the love and attention they need for 4/5 days. My female cat is black and white, called Zaghe and an absolute darling, she loves everybody and is very affectionate. You'll have no problems with her. She is almost 1. Sumo is my grey boy cat. He's very timid and shy and can bite/scratch when scared or nervous. He'll come to you if he wants attention, I've just learnt to leave him alone and wait for him to come to me. I got him back in November as a rescue. He's almost 8. They have never lived with a dog, so preferrably I would like them to go to a cat only home for the 4/5days. And I beg, please don't let them outside!! Can anybody help?
  12. Ring this guy called Steven at G Building Services. He's cheap and very professional (I can afford him anyway!). His number is 07772445783. This is a high recommendation - I will be going back to him in the near future. X
  13. Lol! Einstein sounds just like my cat Zaghe. So friendly and forward. Has to have her nose in absolutely everything, whether eating my tea or going for a wee! As soon as the loo is flushed she runs round it like she's mental and then jumps up and watches the water! She loves going in the bath (weird I know!), she likes to chase the sweeping brush when I'm trying to clean her kitty litter, she loves to play fetch with anything she can pick up, a few of her favourites are sweety wrappers, foam balls and hairbands - and she brings you things to throw at stupid o'clock in the morning! The amount of times I have woken up with foreign objects in the bed that she brings me. If anyone comes over to visit she just walks all over them and gives them her backside! Lol! She sucks the end of her tail all the time which is soooo cute - but very embarrasing and the worse thing she does (which I love by the way - even though it hurts and makes me jump!) is sitting at the side of the bed and putting her front paws under the duvet swiping around till she smacks something - usually my leg or side with her claws! She also like to play rough. I have to make a claw with my hand and she instantly knows its play time and she attacks my hand, teeth, claws and all and makes a cute little noise. I feel so sorry for my older cat Sumo because she does his head in - always trying to jump and pounce on him.

  19. I have a girl cat called Zaghe - she has black legs and white paws which look like boxing gloves - my partner is mad on boxing so she was named after his favourite boxer - Joe Calzaghe!! And she s turning out to be a fine boxer! Lol! She also goes by the name Ziggy, princess, baby etc! I have another cat who's a boy called Sumo - it's what his previous owner called him - I think it's because he is massive and looks oriental! I also call him bugger boy, rude boy and princess (don't ask)!! It fits in quite nicely now when I think about it....We have Zaghe the Boxer and Sumo the Wrestler! Quite a coincidence really!
  20. That is so cute vwkittie!! I know what you mean about your kitty not liking anyone else - it makes me feel special aswell! Lol! Zaghe has this thing where she sucks on the end of her tail for hours - but she will only do it if she is laid on you and you are holding her tail for her - it's like shes trying to feed as she sucks it like a teat - apparently she'll grow out of it but she's almost 1 and does it more than ever!! She purrs so loudly when she does that! Sumo is very surly and hates everyone but me - I'm the only one he lets stroke his tummy, and he will only sit with/on me! Luckily mine are housecats so haven't had to deal with dead mice etc. Eurgg - but I do have a pet snake called Jake that I have to feed dead rats/mice to. Dont ask - it's disgusting! Zaghe and Sumo make this 'chirrup' noise when ever they are stalking string or a toy - they do it several times before pouncing. Really weird but very cute! In Uppers - my grandmas dog has that done when ever it has been wet outside - he loves it! I could go on forever about my grandmas dog as well!
  21. I know this is very random, but I think it will make people smile. I've read so many sad stories on here, so I thought I would start a new thread about all the things our pets do to make us smile, laugh or cringe! I'll start by sharing things about my 2 crazy cats...here goes! 1) My cat Zaghe loves to play fetch at midnight with empty chocolate wrappers (I'm guessing she fishes them out of the bin but I have no idea how or when!) 2) My other cat Sumo sleeps with his paw over his eyes if the light is on - I have never seen anything like it! 3) They both come to greet me when I get home - even if I have only been out for 10 mins but if anybody else comes to the house, they aren't bothered! 4) How they both play in the mirror - jumping about and puffing up to look 'hard!' 5) Zaghe recently was 'done' and she had to wear a cone for 10days. I loved watching it become part of her - she washed it and everything - so cute! 6) Sumo being massive and pulling his weight around the house - he is definitley the boss - even of me! 7) How they both sleep at the bottom of the bed - it makes me happy to know they are happy and content. Zaghe waking me up at 7 on the dot every morning purring like I've never known and licking my hands - then Sumo meowing loudly till I get out of bed! There are plenty more to share but I'd be here forever. Now it's your turn. Lets make this a happy/cute/cringe worthy thread that people will smile and laugh at!
  22. I've just had a new bathroom fitted by G Building Services. I'm very satisfied with his work. I had several quotes from a few people on here. Fair enough he wasn't the cheapest (by about 3 people - who I think were quoting below the average price to get the job - and probably wouldn't have done a good job). I chose him because he seemed reliable and had answers and guarantees to all my initial questions. He always left the job tidy and I'm very happy with his work. I definitely will be using him again - once I've got enough saved for the attic plastering. You can get hold of him by phoning 07772445783 - ask for Steven.
