  1. Hi I'm looking to get two machine embroidered sew on patches made. I've already tried most shops/companies in the area but they are not interested. Are there any individuals out there that do this as a hobby that would be interested in doing these - obviously I will pay not expecting anything for free. thanks
  2. Hi I am starting a new netball group all beginners/not played since school. We are not a competing team just a group of people who like to play and want to get better. We are looking for a coach and wondered if there was anyone on here that might be interested. We are meeting on Monday evenings @ 7pm in North Sheffield and our first session is on 4th June. You don't have to be a qualified coach but obviously must be confident in coaching. If anyone is interested please pm me.
  3. Hi I am looking for recommendations for Bi-folding doors. If you have used a local company you can recommend please let me know. thanks Gails
  4. Hi I am trying to get in contact with the local 80's band AK-47. If anyone from the band is on here or if anyone has contact details for them could you drop me a pm. I want to know if I can book them for a gig. thanks
  5. In that case its their loss to claim not a third party a uni employee can not claim against the uni for not getting a parking space. the permit is a permit to park only not a guaranteed space. that is why I say it is a morality thing. if someone from outside is parked there when the normal day starts that is taking up a space that someone has paid to use and then has to go elsewhere and probably pay again IT IS A MORALITY THING. I did not say I disagreed with the fact that they could park there and appeal against it etc etc. BUT if you had paid over £400 to park on uni parking as an employee and then every space was taken by someone visiting the children's because the uni allowed parking outside of normal hours, and then had to pay again to park on street I am sure you would not be happy. And before anyone starts having go.... I do not park at the uni I either get a lift from my other half or use public transport because I can not afford to pay £400 per year for a parking permit.
  6. Hi They probably parked there because they were visiting someone in the Children's Hospital and the University allow anyone to park in their car parks "out of normal business hours" without charge. But you must move your car for when normal hours resume i.e. from around 08:00 or just before each morning. University employees pay a lot of money and I mean a lot to park in these car parks and if these spaces are taken by people who do not really have any entitlement to park their those employees who have paid to park will not be able to get a parking space. A lot of the uni car parks have barriers so that only those allowed can park, but they lift them at around 16:30 each evening so they are open to the public. Especially the one across from the Children's If you have received a ticket then yes I suppose you could say i am not paying I don't have to, but then you have taken a space from an employee who has had to pay £400 for the privilege of not getting a space on that day you were parked there and they may have had to go and pay on the street to park on top of their permit they have already had to pay for. I suppose its a morality thing really.
  7. It was busy we couldn't park and the car park was grid locked that why it took 12 mins. waiting for other cars to move out so we could leave. ---------- Post added 12-06-2014 at 10:46 ---------- Is this in response to my post? If so I have googled Beavis Vs Parking and can't find anything I can understand. But why is this defence of I did not park not strong enough. 1. They have no pictures of me being parked 2. I have photos of how busy the car park gets 3. I have photos of gridlocked it gets 4. I have photos of how you only have a single lane of traffic for getting in and out of the carpark so on busy days you HAVE to go into the permit holders area only to turn around to exit. 12 mins is not a long time when you are in a gridlocked car park Gail
  8. Hi I wrote to parking eye asking them for a copy of their contract with the land owner and this is their reply to me: (bit of background - I did not park, I turned around in their car park their camera saw us in a permit holders only area for 12 mins not parked in a parking bay. My defence when going to court is I was not parking). Would you reply? How would you reply? Thank you for your further correspondence, Please refer to our correspondence dated 12/05/2014, we believe that this answers all your queries. Please also note ParkingEye would like to inform you that we believe it to be highly unreasonable that after ignoring our previous correspondence a request is made for the information highlighted in your previous correspondence to us. Should you have responded within the timescales outlined within our notices, answers could have been provided prior to this case being processed for further action. ParkingEye can confirm that full authorisation is held to operate and enforce Parking Charges on site. ParkingEye only operates on sites that are situated on private land, are not council owned and that ParkingEye has written authority to operate and issue Parking Charge Notices on all of its sites from the landowner. ParkingEye are also audited on a yearly basis by the BPA to ensure that the relevant authority is held to operate on and manage our sites. Please note that had an appeal been made, the opportunity to appeal to POPLA would have been granted. At this point it is likely that much of this information could have been provided. However, as no such appeal to POPLA was made, the information you are requesting could not be provided. We must make you aware that should legal proceedings be entered this will incur further costs, which will be sought from yourself. To provide you with this information is a costly and time consuming procedure which is especially unreasonable considering that you have not entered into any dialogue with us until this point. As a result of this, ParkingEye do not feel that it is proportionate to supply a copy of our contract at this stage. Should you wish to be provided with this information, we recommend that you request this in your defence when court proceedings are issued. This will subsequently be provided at the request of the court. Kind Regards, ParkingEye Enforcement Team
  9. Hi Strange request I know but does anyone know where I can get any plastic strawberries for a display please. I have been looking at children's packs of play fruit but I don't want to spent a load of money on something that I will never use. These seem to be mixed packets and I just need strawberries.
  10. I have just lost both my cats. Donald in october at 18 from a stroke and his sister daisy 4 weeks ago just shy of 19. Both a thyroid and arthritis but hada good life right up to the end. They cost me a fortune and ran me ragged. But i would not have been without them and they were spoilt.
  11. thank you Dannyo that is a great help. Companies house was my next point of reference but you beat me to it. thanks Gail
  12. It is urban & rural estates. I am trying to find their address but no luck yet. ---------- Post added 28-05-2014 at 00:26 ---------- Have a pcn from parking eye. Just been back tonight to same car park to look at signs for any clue as to address of land owner, which there wasn't. But what I did find was the signs stating the car park is managed by highview not parking eye. Does anyone know if they are the same company? Or if in fact they are allowed to sign with one company name and then send charges with another name?
