Had a great meal at Grazie on Leopold Street. Lovely atmosphere, good service and and extremely fresh fish. Would highly recommend a visit.

I know there are a lot of eating places around Broomhill that give NHS staff discounts, are there any places in the city centre doing the same?

Where can I find a Sheffield pub serving homemade gravy, made with real meat juices on a Sunday roast? Everywhere seems to have gone down the gravy granules route.

There are some decent places for breakfast in Sheffield, the best of the bunch is COUCH on Campo Lane, good food, great coffee, service is spot on and it has a modern vibe with a relaxed atmopshere. Nice for an alchoholic drink or coffee & cake later in the day as well. Others worth a mention are Grind - Kelham Island Green City Coffee - Kelham Island Made by Jonty - Sharrowvale Rd Amici & Bici - Abbeydale Rd

My card got stuck in the machine at Britannia BS in Pinstone St today. Bank have advised over £1,000 used before I cancelled it. Please be aware, the slot did seem a bit stiff but did not look out of the norm. If your card does get stuck report it as soon as you can. In hindsight I should have stayed at the machine & tried to ring the bank from there.

Have visited the Milestone periodicaly since it opened. I still cannot make my mind up about it. I have only ever eaten downstairs not in the restaurant. The service on our last 2 visits has been excellent. We went early one Friday evening in Graduation week & the place was heaving. However within minutes of entering after a proactive & welcoming approach by the staff we were happy that a table would be allocated. The meal that night was overall good although I thought the mains a little overpriced. Vegetable rissotto starter was great, main of chicken with potaotes & salad needed more seasoning on the chicken but the gremolata salad dressing was excellent. A shared cheese board was varied & presented well. Next visit was a Sunday lunch from which I came away feeling a tad disappointed. We all chose the roast option, beef was served very rare & was not easy to cut. Good yorkshire pud & roastie but the gravy was bland with no flavour. All of the veg were boiled & a bit boring. No effort on any seasoning or enhancements to taste. So yes we will be back but they really do need to get all of the basics right before they get too ambitious with expansion plans.

We went on Sunday & enjoyed the show. Yes it was short, but the price was not too high for a night out. I have not seen Toby before however it did cross my mind that it was the sort of act that material could be repeated. EPB were a laugh as a one off. Perhaps it was the couple of wines before hand that added to the giggle factor.

Looks interesting, the City Centre is in need of something a bit of a notch up from the chains to raise the bar.

From Paris with love = 7/10 John Travolta's plays his part well & he has some good lines. Hangover = 9/10 belly laughs galore.

Invictus 5/10 - wanted it to be good but nearly fell asleep a couple of times as it was too slow. It's complicated 9/10 - laugh out loud romantic comedy at its best.

Maranellos on Ecclesall Road is a very good option. Have had fish twice there & both times tasted excellent.

The Pasta Bar at the bottom of Sharrowvale Rd is always good.
