I have 2 years experience in plumbing and heating installations, i have worked on new build and private build. I have my own van and tools, completed my NVQ folder with my previous employer and completed all exams except 1 wich is a final end test. Im on a level 2 nvq apprenticeship at RCAT college which i am due to finish in July.

Does anyone have any recruitment numbers for Brittish Gas would be much appreciated

just thought their would be a better chance of an apprenticeship with bigger companys than smaller companys in this economic climate by all means any small companys want an apprentice then reply to my thread

yea mate solid tryin to get sum work , we had a load of contract work with gladedale now ben bailey but they holdin it so tight to their chest no houses are gettin built

is it ok to email cvs to a company with out asking them first ?

yea thanks you guys its just a bad time for all of us im afraid, i think the building industry is on its knees at the moment, just hope everything picks up for all of us.

Hi there, im currently unemployed and have been for a few months now i was a plumbers apprentice and dont know whether to give up looking for plumbing apprentice positions or not, if i give it up its 2 years down the swanny all the work at college gone , i mean i could probably get a pt retail job but im not sure ,every time i get close to getting a job contracts have fallen through or business partners have declined me a position. Im 22 with a van and my own tools and will travel. I have applied to probably 50 plumbing companys even been in the yellow pages. Any one got any ideas of what i should do ?

They have no gas apprenticeships available at the moment i have tried N power but they are the same. . Any one else know any major mechanical and engneering (plumbing and gas if possible) companys. . .

Any one know of large mechanical/engineering or plumbing firms in the sheffield area cant seem to find any in the yellow pages. If anyone knows of any please leave there company names and contacts please cos all i can think of is kier and they are not taking any more apprentices on this year

i have read wing chun by sifu shaun rawcliff and jeet kune do by bruce lee vol 3 and i have the tao of jeet kune do by bruce lee but have not got chance to look through it. I dont want to punh for the sake of punching i want to learn more offence more than defence, to be able to read your oponant before he moves and strike before he does.

Any one reccommend any good martial arts classes and where they are, used to do kick boxing when i was at school but kinda stopped going, but i now want to learn again or anything similar

Does anyone know any companys taking apprentice plumbers at the moment, recently got layed off just after christmas, completed my level 2 work portfolio, got my own transport and tools just need to finish the college year and hopefully study level 3 in september:)
