Is that Just Natural? It's twenty five years since Nigel opened his shop. -
I've got my children hooked on banana smoothies. A couple of bananas, honey, yogurt and some grated nutmeg, delicious.

Another vote for Specsavers here. Get yourself a lanyard as well because you'll often take them off and put them somewhere you can't remember.

Do you know the make of any of the items lake1? Split cane rods and other vintage tackle can fetch a decent price.

Is there anywhere I can get specific chillies?

Fishing in canal and BBQ the fish?

I think he's just having some fun at94. I've posted a link containing the fishery regulations on another thread. -
Pig cheek must be a Lincolnshire specialty. I remember seeing it advertised on a board as the days special outside a pub near Market Rasen a few years ago.

I've been told that Perch are very good eating. I've had Zander whilst on holiday in the Loire in France and that was surprisingly good. -
How did your trip to the Severn go gums?

There's some nice Oak trees behind the Mi Amigo war memorial in Endcliffe Park.

I really enjoyed watching those clips, thank you for sharing them.

I can't believe what they've done to the Ship, it looks marvelous. It was a pretty run down place the last time I went down to Highley. The stretch right in front of the Ship is slow and deep and I'd walk upstream about 100 yards to the stile, the area either side of this is good for fishing the feeder. If you walk another 200 yards upstream you'll come to a pebbled beach like are, you can wade out about a third of the way and you can catch on the float from here. When I went down to the Severn I went all out for Barbel, so it's sturdy rods, heavy lines and lots of pellets. If you fish with maggots you'll be plagued with small fish.

Are you staying in one of the cottages next to The Ship Inn?

Where to fish the river trent at gainsborough
John Dory replied to backwardben's topic in Sheffield Fishing Group
Laneham Ferry is good for parking near your peg, it's a few years since I've been but is was available on a day ticket with Ferry Boat AC on the bank. The pegs are made of yorkstone and are in steps so you can move up or down depending on the state of the tide. The only problem I have with this stretch is that it gets a lot of water skiers on it in the summer months, it doesn't affect the fishing if you're on the feeder but makes float fishing impossible. -
Which area of Sheffield does Johnny Nelson originate ?
John Dory replied to Ridgewalk's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Johnny was doing the same Open University course as me back in 2009, he's a great bloke. -
Thanks woody, does anyone on here know him?
-
Has anyone seen the old West Indian bloke who walked his dogs around Walkley? I've not seen him for a while, he was always a pleasure to chat to and was often seen on South Road.
-
Is this open to permit holders only or is it still available to fish on a day ticket?
-
He lives in Walkley and I see him on South Road regularly, he wears a pair of black track suit bottoms under his shorts in Winter.

It's not something I've thought of doing for some reason but I'll give it a go. Everyone thinks of fish and chips when it comes to mushy peas but I like them with chips and ham hock or liver and onions.
