  1. Played cricket with old Gilliver, he broke his leg bad pushing a car out of some snow, also played football for Rick Jones who took over from Neil Gilliver, Played in the same Cricket team as Rick, sadly pass away
  2. My Uncle is Tony Smith - saw him for the 1st time in years last Oct - story goes from my nan that he turned down the Beatles for a gig cause he thought they were scruffy ?? he looked ok & like me still has the ginger hair
  3. Ian lived just around the corner from me at Rowdale Crescen or the frying pan as we used to call it - I played football for Neil Warnock brother John he managed Parkgate Steels.
  4. We lived on Burbage Grove & we backed on to the scout hut & the red hills - we played many hours football on a small patch of grass there. One freind who joined in was Ian Reddington of TV Eastenders frame.

  6. Right at the end next to Dells there was an launderette which as a child my mother used to drag us too - later in became a video shop - now it's a chip shop
  7. Yeah i was at Frecheville from 1972 > 1976 Rick Jones PE teacher became a mate after i left school we played in the same cricket team, had many a good drinking session with him, sadly missed !
  8. Can anyone remember the TV program that was made at Frecheville school with George Best in it ? i was at the school from 1972
