I've gone an d got myself one of those Nest Thermostats, I'm also looking at doing my bathroom, one of the things I'm looking at is underfloor heating if it's not too expensive. Now ideally I want to have the Nest control the underfloor heating (or at least have it switch on at the same time) but the last quote I had said it'd be a big job as I'd need to route it to the combi boiler with all the piping etc, or I need to go electric for that. If I was doing electric does anyone know if there's anything like a WeMo switch which I could connect using something like IFTTT?

Anyone want to PM me with some homes to avoid and why? Got a few shortlisted and visiting over the next few days but people's experiences welcome, the CQC website is fine but a bit vague in the places you want to know more about. I'd particularity welcome anyone who has had a relative with dementia. Thanks in advance

I'm just after the one, anyone?

Cheers for the Buskers' Bus love, enjoyed the manic weekend of organising it, did anyone catch the secret gigs, either Everley Pregnant Brothers outside Wig and Pen, The Reason 4, Johnny Foreigner on the bus or Pete David and the Payroll Union or Lupen Crook outside the Milestone? Unfortunately the buses were quite late additions this year so the route and getting it on the maps was quite late too. If we do it again, definitely a few things we can improve on there. We have a playlist we'll keep updating with Buskers bus videos here: -

I must have been one of the shouty blokes! Looking forward to seeing the live room, think Kelham Island needs somewhere like that to bring a different crowd down to the real ale pubs.

Tramlines 2011 Megathread - 22 - 24 July
leeroyb replied to HarleyLive's topic in Going out in Sheffield
All aboard the Buskers’ Bus! Tramlines 2011 is just around the corner and this year, people can travel around the ever expanding festival site in style - serenaded by some of Festival’s hottest bands. After a resounding success last year, the Buskers' Bus is back. As with all things Tramlines, this year the Buskers’ Bus is bigger and better. Two double decker buses will take revellers around the festival, stopping at key venue destinations, all of course, for free. Lee Mullin, Buskers’ Bus Manager said : “Last year the Bromheads curated Buskers' Bus was the highlight of many people's weekend, travelling round the city whilst being entertained by Sheffield's biggest artists. The Buskers’ Bus connects the peripheral venues with the city centre, making sure festival goers can take in the whole Tramlines site. This year we’ve pulled out all the stops. Two double deckers, national artists as well as home grown talent, secret sets, sing-alongs and much, much more.” 'The Milestone Blues and Ale Bus' starts at the Devonshire Cat on Wellington Street en route to Kelham Island. The route will feature bands like Pete David and the Payroll Union, Low Duo and Risky Heroes. 'The Steelworks-VOICE Buskers' Bus' will cover Broomhill, Hunters Bar and the Train Station and includes Elephant Keys, Mothers Ruin, and Skint and Demoralised. Both buses run a 20-minute circuit starting at the Devonshire Cat 11am-10pm Saturday and Sunday. The routes have been sponsored by The Milestone, Steelworks Studios and VOICE. As with last year, there will be plenty of surprise guests and treats, with David Bowie and Beatles sing-along buses and big headline bands yet to be announced. Last year bus passengers were treated to surprise performances from the likes of Dinosaur Pile Up and The Everly Pregnant Brothers. This year some big national acts have already confirmed that they will perform on the Buskers’ Bus at some point over the weekend. Revellers will have to hope they are on the right service to catch their intimate performances in what will be a once in a lifetime experience. For times and updates look out on Bromheads Facebook page and follow the hashtag #buskersbus on Twitter. For more information about getting to and from the festival by public transport go to http://www.travelsouthyorkshire.co.uk It will be stopping at the following venues/stops: THE MILESTONE BLUES AND ALE BUS DEVONSHIRE CAT TRIPPETS WIG AND PEN THE SHAKESPEARE CADS BLUES STAGE GARDENERS REST THE MILESTONE KELHAM ISLAND WEST ST/BATH HOTEL (then back to Dev Cat) THE STEELWORKS-VOICE BUSKERS' BUS DEVONSHIRE CAT THE BOWERY UNIVERSITY OF SHEFFIELD BROOMHILL FOLK FOREST/HUNTERS BAR THE LESCAR SHARROW LANE LONDON ROAD BRAMALL LANE ST MARY'S GATE LEADMILL/SHOWROOM SHEFFIELD INTERCHANGE HUBS (then back to Dev Cat) They will both run Saturday and Sunday from 11am till 10pm http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=151471551595369 -
So I've used 123-reg for a couple of years now for hosting and domains, the hosting has been fine but the webmail service they provide is shockingly bad. Do you have any suggestions for who I should go with for a reliable webmail service that's not too pricey but has some level of junkmail filtering and a usable interface.

For those of you that follow the local music scene will know Bromheads have been quietly building up over the last year or so supporting grunge legends The Pixies, taking over Tramlines festival in the summer and releasing 12 singles over the course of a year including videos and release parties! Now they've released a fans album called 'The Lamp Sessions' which is a collection of 10 singles from the last year and is only available from http://www.bromheads.tv Also on the site is a FREE Download of 'Snow' and it's video, have a look and let us know what you think

Does anyone know any small groups of Carol singers who may be able to sing at an event I'm putting on Saturday and Sunday night?
