  1. Sorry if I missed a word or two out in 1st post
  2. Yes it will but as I say they want it triggering now, not in 3 or so months.
  3. You pintor are so right my friend, well spoken
  4. I posted the same thing about half eleven, the vote was democratically done brexit won, if people don't like it go and live in an EU member state. We cannot keep having referendums because people didn't win, and are spitting the dummy; if that was the case there'd be a petition everytime the bloody Tories won an election. And apparently EU ministers have said don't wait for 2 years to get out of EU, get Britain out now, that smacks of mardy bums.
  5. Tim, The raise in pension age was a kick in the guts for lots, but mostly for the young as you say. I feel we should have left it as it was it caused strike after strike, and created scabs again. I have now retired (medically) but if I hadn't could have retired at 60 but not got pension till 66-67. Plus by putting pension age up who fancies being rescued by a 68 year old fireman in years to come. As for if the depression affected me, well everyone was affected but I and others rode it out, and cut my cloth accordingly.
  6. I am with you 100% on what you say about the Brexit campaign, to me they tried to make Britain sound like a land of milk and honey if we left but; we have to go with the result of the vote and see what happens. To me there have been some really daft comments from people, oh I fear for my children stop panicking.
  7. Funny you should say that, in the 70's in Sheffield especially at Bramall Lane there was a saying can't sing, can't dance, can't feight must come from London. But now London is such a multicultural place & that is good, just who are the real Londoners? Pete
  8. Been reading on BBC website how an online petition calling for another EU referendum has reached 1m signatues, obviously these people don't like the result. Well we had to suck it and see when we were dragged in to the EU in 75, I was not old enough to vote. I hope there won't be another vote as it was democratic and legall, let's just see how things work out over next few years. This is mainly down to the remain camp telling folk how bad things would be if we left, but never once told people the good things about staying in that is why I feel they lost, not just immigration, people aren't so petty minded to vote like that I don't think. If anyone is interested I voted to remain, but I always adhere to what the vote is; and wait till things pan out, we'd be having referendum after referendum if people don't like the result. I say we take the rough with the smooth, I've read on here many, many times people say they are sick of EU so now is the chance to make Britain Great again. We've had the vote the result is to leave, so we must adhere to the decision that Britain has made, whether people like it or not. The Scots want another indepence vote, let them have it let them go; we'll not suffer without them they want to stay in EU, best of luck to them.
  9. FR we could do with another Chris Morgan, or Trevor Hockey :)
  10. Yes we can burn it turn it to coke; Coke is a fuel with few impurities and a high carbon content, usually made from coal. Many mines were closed with years of coal seams still available, but that sadly is now consigned to the history books. Try to remember men worked in water up to waist high to get coal, and in districts little over 4ft high & less and then on the wall (coal face); miners best set of men I have ever worked with . Thatcher destroyed a great industry, and just made rich people richer in short she was "evil" as well as a moster.
  11. I'd love to see Clarkson, Hammond & May back in all honesty Mickey, but that is a hard question as not many petrol heads about (good ones).
  12. Hiya BF long time no speak, I hope you're doing well my friend Pete
  13. I know it's early days but looks like we've got a manager that tells the truth, takes no **** and wants and gets the best from his players; plus he won't be held to ransom by glory hunters seeking a good pay day.
  14. No Mickey I stated earlier in this tread I hate Evans and Le Blanc; & as for Jordan don't get me started, so no point watching it perhaps I should have said, reading the comments has made me glad I didn't try to watch this garbage.
  15. That my friend at the moment is hard to say, be interesting to see who puts themselves forward if we have a leader election. If put on spot I'd say Tom Watson, Andy Burnham, other than those 2 no one stands out for me but what do I know.
  16. Thank you for expanding on the "deal" for me, appreciated and I do agree that the statements on voting forms were kind of "loaded" questions. My biggest gripe was that Cameron & co constantly told us all the bad that would happen should we leave, and no benefits of remaining. On the other hand Boris & co decided to make it look like the land of milk and honey if we left, only time will tell.
  17. That has been said on TV, that Corbyn took more of a back seat role and he should have lead from the front; being leader. It looks like we may well get new leaders of Tory & Labour parties, time will tell on the latter.
  18. Whoosh, I have to say that went right over my head I'm glad someone like you understands the financial situation & market, that is not a dig it's just I don't, so don't get involved talking about it.
  19. yes I agree with the statement about Foot & Corbyn, he is totally lacking in the backbone section.
  20. Well it said on news that new Tory leader will be a Brexit person, so we've voted to leave why would they want to put another referendum to us. I am at a loss, we live in a democracy, yet people have seemed not to democratically accept the vote. And all through this campaign Cameron has said he had brokered a special deal for the UK and the EU but, never once told people what it was. The vote has come in to exit, we'll have to see how it plays out in the next few years, I notice Scotland have thrown dummy out & want another vote on independence. Cameron called this referendum, now he is to fall on his sword & Osborne also; good riddance to the 2 smiling assassins.
  21. I'm with you Cyclone I cannot stand the man, he ruined F1 when he was on it on the BBC, he is a jumped up little hobgoblin. Reading all the comments I'm so glad me & the wife have avoided what seems to be a poor programme.
  22. Sorry but if we cannot beat Iceland, now is the time to disband England as a football team, come on ENGLAND.
  23. Used to be a Civil Servant in last job, had to medically retire almost 3 years ago.
  24. I happen to think it's a fantastic thing that all 4 Home Nations, England, N Ireland ROI & Wales have all qualified for the last 16. ---------- Post added 23-06-2016 at 16:04 ---------- Very dull brilliant game loved the 2nd half.
