I think it sounds like a great idea, you seem to have thought about it more that most people do! If you find for any reason you're in a jam and need a walker for the dog, I would be happy to pop round and help. Good luck!

Did anyone see that episode of 'Tales of the Unexpected' where some girl was kidnapped and kept in a coffin that was buried under her parents front lawn. Whilst she was still alive brrrrrrrrrrrr!

It just gets better, think I may be giving it a miss. -

oh dear Gawd! Your're really selling it arent you. I was just asking as I'd spotted an ad for a room there and fancied getting out of the city. I'm living with my boyfriend, who bacame my ex boyfriend a few days ago and need to get out ASAP. Thought a bit of countryside would cheer me up, but this just sound depressing!! -
Is it countryside-ish? Is it nice? Is it a safe place to live? And does it have any nice pubs?

Does anyone know of a good psychic in Sheffield?
ddolly replied to raegardner's topic in General Discussions
What about Rita Rogers, although she would call herself a medium rather than psychic. She lives in Chesterfield, but I'm not sure she sees clients anymore as she was quite poorly. I know she used to see people in an emergency (if someone they loved had died in uncertain circumstances and she specialised in people who had lost children). I worked with her for a few months and would say she's completely genuine (and takes no payment, she might ask for a charity donation instead tho) -
What about Foxhill? I've seen a few cheap places there. Only been through on the bus but it looks quite nice, great view and lots of pubs.

Hi sparklesista, I'll definately keep an eye out for you, my boyfriends got a Peugeot and had an unhealthy interest in them, so always pointing them out in the paper etc. He's got a 106 which is alway breaking down but have heard the desiel 306 is much more reliable. I'll see if we can drag him along to the auction cause he knows what the insides of a car should look like. What time are you planning to visit the auction on wed? I'm on nights that day so would be free till 4pm. I've really gotta get a car soon, the bus journey to work is painfully long! DD

Can I join in too please? I live in Netheredge, which I dont think is that far? Hey, what sort of degree requires knitting? -
I work just off parson cross so I think the 17a drives by, so I think I'll just hop on that. Then tram it back to hillsb afterwards. I knock off work at 2 but have untill 7 to kill when I need to be in Hillsb. If that makes sense? Thanks for all the tips tho!

I've just had a look at the bus website and I can easily get a bus to Meadowhall so think I'll do that! I'll have a poke around on the UGC website and see what looks good. Looking forward to having a bucket of popcorn and the cinema to myself!

Is Hillsborough far from the city centre? Do you know if a tram runs and how long it takes. The problem is I've never been to Hillsborough so have no idea how to spend an arvo there.

I've got an afternoon to kill in Hillsborough tomorrow and just wondered if there is a cinema? I dont want to be tempted to do any shopping!

Where can I take my Brother at the weekend??
ddolly replied to ddolly's topic in Going out in Sheffield
That sounds spot on actually! I think thats a go-er, he'll be dead impressed! I might drag him along to the Forum meet too. -
Has anyone come across the rather excitable lady that preaches on the 75, 76, 97 bus route. She was telling the entire bus load of people how wonderful we all were last Sunday, it was actually quiet nice! Well untill she started singing.

Any news yet? I've got twitchy fingers! -
Hi there Ratbagtowers, I think what you're doing sounds great! I walked the Great Wall of China for Cancer Research a few years ago and although it was bloody hard work it was a fantastic experience. I had to organise quiet a few fundraisers to get my limit so I know what hard work it is. The company that I worked for at the time was really supportive and actually matched me pound for pound. But the reason I'm mentioning it here is because they're a publishing company and put out alot of celebrity biogs, big novels etc and you might be able to get some great signed stuff for your raffle. If you PM me your address I'll have a word with my friend who works there and see if she can send you a box of stuff. Is the auction an open event? Good luck with it all anyway. DD
