  1. I'd like to start running again, used to do it a long, long time ago. But I'm too scared to go on my own, not sure running round a park on my own is a smart move, well not until I have some idea where to go. I'm based in Sharrow - is there anyone I can tag along with, and who wont laugh at how unfit I am?

  2. The MA is 2 years full time and 3 part at most Uni's. I must say its pretty hard work as depending on where you go there's a day or 2 in Uni and a 2 day placement. So it can be tricky to earn a living, unless you already work for an organisation which will support you and maybe come to an arrangement where you can do your placement at work. I'm really looking forward to going back in Sept but a bit scared as I know the awful work load thats coming! However, I would say it's all been hugely interesting and rewarding!! Are you feeling that social work's not quite right for you?

  3. arh! Don't knock our Gillian. I red her first book about 7 year ago when I'd just got outta hospital, I'd broken me kidney's and been pumped full of so much antibiotic that I couldnt keep anything down. I tried alot of the things she suggested (particually her superfood ideas and ditching sugar and caffine) and it really worked. Of course after a couple of years, I thought, "yay! I'm fixed now, lets go have an expresso!"

  4. Milton Keynes ay? You lucky fella! They seem to have hidden the hotels (and houses for that matter) quite well, so be sure to take a map.. I once had hours of fun trying to find a pub in that place.

Nevermind about this week, give me a shout if you're up for it another week tho :)

  5. Hey slarty,

Let me know if you decide to go on Sunday, I've been toying with the idea for a few months but always bottle it at the last minute. It's just the idea of walking into a room full of strangers, I'm a bit short sighted so its bad enough trying to find me mates in the pub, let alone not knowing who I'm looking for. If a few of us 'newbies' go together might make it a little less scarey?

  6. Hi StanRobinson,

Arh the fiddle's a bit of a sore point! It was a Christmas present a few years back and after I tried a few teachers I gave up... I really wanted to learn bluegrass stuff but none of my teachers had a blooming clue, closest I found was a Trad Irish fiddle teacher. So if anyone know's a more appropriate teacher I'd love to give it another bash!
