  3. I really just want some beer money to tied me over until I get paid, got a mates gig on Thursday and have 60p to my name so wanting to get shut of it all pretty quick. There are about 8 coats some double breasted with big furry collars that range from 10-14 theres a green suede skirt and a over the knee black pencil skirt.. erm some red shoes. Your welcome to come and have a look and make me an offer for anything you want.
  4. I have a couple of boxes of vintage coats, dresses and other bits and bobs such as suede n leather skirts ranging from size 8 to 12. I meant to sell them on ebay but I just never seem to have the time. I'm moving house next week and would like to get shut. Does anyone know of vintage or thrift shops that buy this kind of stuff? I'm not looking for a fortune 30 quid or so for the lot.
  5. I'm trying to find a drop in FP session near Sheffield 7 / Sharrow / Netheredge. My GP do everything by appointment and I would prefer somewhere I can just walk in, this seemed to be common practice a while back but I cant find anything in the yellow pages. Any ladies got ideas??
  6. Thanks that's great - bit 'spenny! But might be worth it to stop me having flight panic!
  7. Unfortunately I'll be on my holidays too so will miss it! Very disapointed, would love to know how it goes and do keep me posted of the next one. I used to do alot of promo and press work so let me know if you need a hand on that front.
  8. Does anyone know if I can park in the train station car park overnight? And if so how much it costs (Friday arvo to Sunday night) I'm off to Dublin for the weekend and dont think I'm going to have time to drop my car off at home after work. And is it safe there? Any advice would be ace!!
  9. My friend is in a band and did that at a gig one night, and dedicated it to the girl I was with... dont think she was very impressed!! Not the best wooing song!
  10. Alas! thats a no then! Well anyone have a clue where I can look for a music teacher then???
  11. Hello, I'm from Grimsby so know I fair amount about Cleethorpes! You can take a direct train about once every hour, it takes roughly and hour and a half depending on if you get the fast or slow. Very simple! Check the national rail site for details. There are lots of new fancey cafes that have opened up too as well as the usual ropey fish n chip places. Good to just wander along the sea front and nip into the arcades!
  12. Hey what happened to Dublin?? I'm off there next weekend - its cheap to get to and the Guinness... well, we dont need to say anything about the Guinness! And that dreamy accent!!!
  13. oh best songs have got to be This Charming Man, Boy with a Thorn in His Side, Real Around the Fountain, but my absolute favorite is Heaven Knows I'm Misrerable Now makes me howl with laughter! especially 'I was looking for a job and then I found a job and heaven knows I'm miserable now!' Spot on Mozza. Got to see him at Doncaster on the Suedehead tour and in Dec at Brighton. Both were ace and I ended up in floods of tears, for my lost youth more than anything I think!
  14. Just to let you all know - I've found this fantastic website called Soul Seek. I've managed to download tons of country stuff. You enter a search and then it goes through all the other users files to see if they have a track. Great for obscure stuff!!
  15. Cummon! someone must be into Country???
  16. Ooo! Quite a few Grimsby people here then!!
  17. I absolutley adore being read to. But I dont seem to have had that much luck talking boyfriends into doing it. I read alot myself but its much better if someone else does it for you - especailly in bed. Would be a very happy lass if I could bag a boy like that!!
  18. Have you only just discovered The Smiths? I used to have some very sad conversations made up entirely of Smiths lyrics!! Thats the sort of thing that seemed a good idea at 15!
  19. I got one as a present a few years ago and I've been meaning to learn. Had a few lessons ages ago but the teacher wasnt quite right. I'm keen to learn bluegrass - anyone play or know a good teacher??
  20. I'm from Grimsby, but then lived in London for 10 years and then Australia. Now I find myself in Sheffield - with a very confussed accent!!
  21. I'd check out Melbourne too if you can - fantastic city and great if you like live music and a bit of culture. I lived there for a year and had an amazin time! Also it should be a bit cooler than the rest of Aus in Jan so might give you a break from the heat. Other thing I would say is do break your flight if you can, I did on my return and it was much better. Have a great time, I'm very jelous!
  22. I think, its the first week of Sept at City hall (sorry dont know sheffield so well) does that sound right, I have the details on an e-mail, I'll dig it out and post. But she's in support again. dont know why she's not doing headline gigs!!
