When are primary school places announced?
ming37 replied to Kelario's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I didnt hear from the school direct, it was sheffield council and to be honest i was expecting the letter today. Maybe they sent it in the post alittle early so it did get here for the 16th but the post offices have sorted through it earlier i dont know, but it had nothing to do with the schools. -

I got mine yesterday through post and was really anxious about it, glad you got one of your choices -
Having a clear out.. again! ( was unaware of the amount of stuff i didnt use ) Im wondering whether anyone is free to pick the items up and drop them into one of the animal charity shops for them to benefit from them. Im in s4 pagehall but dont drive so unable to get them to any animal charities and much prefer the animals to benefit from these if possible. Items include a big round toy box, loads of womans jeans ( most can be sold, some can be weighed in as someone told me they do this) a few mens trousers, Shoes both womens and childrens, handbag and a few other items. Will be sorting some other things too so will add to this. Everything is in great condition so easily sold on, apart from a couple pairs of jeans that are faded.

Contacting sheffield city council re benefits
ming37 replied to traceyoneill's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Keep trying though it frustrating eventually you will get through, try for a while then take a break and try again this is what i do if having trouble getting through, I also find that ringing around dinner time you have less chance of speaking to a person I tend to ring late afternoon. Once took me days to get through to sheffield council tax. -
Things on in sheffield next sat 15 of march for children
ming37 replied to jsmith2009's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
All depends on what you are thinking of, If weather is good maybe parks or farms, greaves park is lovely. Swimming might be a option if weather is rubbish. Western park musuem is good for kids too. Bowling or cinema but can get a little expensive, but they do kids film showing at most pictures on a weekend where they get in for about £2. Hope this helps -
Thanks for replying, im pagehall can private message you my address if you are up for collecting this stuff, there is a baby bath full and a meduim size box. Let me know if this is ok

Worst sheffield bus service since the improvements
ming37 replied to yatesace's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I dont even know why they changed the 35/36/37/38, 37/38 now replaces the 17? I normally catch the 17 bus at around 8.20 each morning but now they changed this to 38 but im confused as to which route it takes, plus for some reason the 38 is is every hour in the morning so im either really early or really late! I am that confused by it all i just catch two buses to where i need to get to. -
Id swap you parson cross any day! With Chavs included.. On a different note, did anyone watch benefit street on channel 4 last night? just reminded me of pagehall but not as bad.

It would be nice for some peace and quiet just once in a while, there is never a day goes by that something is going on. For some it just is not as easy as moving away, bonds for renting or council housing impossible or trying to sell your house without making a loss, which is very sad and upsetting for many including myself. It is a very stressing situation and my experience the officals that say they will help basically tell you tough put up with it I now plan and hope to be out of pagehall by the summer but might still be here for another dreaded summer.

Probably about the same if its anything like what yorkshire water is charging me :hihi:

The post office staff making you feel uncomfortable
ming37 replied to nicola1234's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
It is still no excuse to be rude, If it was a emergnancy i doubt she would be there asking what the customer needed three times :/ she could have just said can you give me 2 mins while i sort this out, It was ignorant and is done quite often in my experience. -
