  6. Thanks for the reply, Im thinking of getting my own place and seeing the city for a month, if I get a job or even temp work then I would be Happy and if not then leave. What are the good cities that are not expensive or I should ask on another thread what areas to avoid

  10. Smithy absoutely bang on mate, I dont want to turn this into a political discussion but as you said were are the good "old skool" jobs these days? Its all white collar work and if you can bull**** with your mouth you get in Like you also said its all being made in China, manufacturing where I am at currently is totally dead, even in my local paper lots off the jobs are selling services and you need your own transport
  11. Hi Caz, yes I know what you mean I have marketing qualifications from uni and college with other various business topics, but these papers just under degree level are not worth the paper their printed on:( Where are you at present If I may ask? Gud luck with the search
  12. You took the words right outta my mouth, yes the only realistic way is go directly, the problem also is many companies are advertising for jobs knowing full well the vacancy dosent exist, its just a way for them to collect up CV and details for when a vacancy does arise they can filter through, my friend even works in recruitment and told me how this system works
  13. Thanks, Yea I shall try Mysheffield. I like agencies the only problem is can I get a rented house with agency work? Even if I have a good deposit some landlord only like "permenant" employment Anyway thanks mate, very kind off you John
  14. Hi Guys, I absoutely love this Forum and the people, its superb, My question however is simply how and where is the best place if any to look for work in Sheffield, jobs and such? As im looking and hoping to move and just researching, I tried the obvious such as Jobcenter, monster etc.. online, I imagine Sheffield has its own online newspaper where they also list vacancies Im 25 years old and really interested in stuff like retail, call centers, bar work, admin, even thoe I know my stuff in other areas such as computers, motor mechanic, et.. I just need to get a job Dont know how and where to begin, obviously this is my first step. Thanks guys and girls John
