I agree and would go as far as to say that the USA knew where Bin Larden was for a long time but for some reason have chosen now to take him out(if they have), now they are humilating Pakistan rightly or wrongly. Perhaps they now have their excuse to invade the country and it only takes China to join forces with Pakistan and we are all in deep bobar..

I just want to point out that Autism is not a "mental" illness it is a Neurological disorder and he will have been more than capable of applying for housing(with help) but with Autism people look at the world a different way and for this guy buying lego was more important (to him) than paying his rent. It is a sad state of affairs when people can make fun of this unseen disability, my mate has a child with Autisim and it is not something to be laughed or sneered at!

I was not going to post on this thread as i know norks is more than capable of holding her own in any situation thrown at her, however, it has once again desended into sniping and griping and i wanna put the record straight Norks is a Beautiful, passionate firey gal with a wicked sense of humour and eyes that could melt any fire She says what she thinks and has a somewhat direct approach which some men(me included) can find a little daunting She has also been thrown a rough deal in life regarding men, things which 99% of the population can only imagine in their worst nightmare so i think she is more than entitled to her opinon of men. She is one of my best mates and i love her "oddness" to bits I know exactly where she is coming from with this thread and i gotta say i totally agree with her. Problem is, many men have tried and don't like the knockback they recieve, it grates on their confidence so the arrogance starts. I was not going to add to this thread but feel i must as it seems to me you are implying that norks is a pushy parent who thinks her kids are better than anyone elses. This is not the case. Norks's son is one of the most polite, level headed and grounded kids i know, he does have issues with autism/aspergers but this in no way refects on his character. he is a pleasure to be around and for once( not having kids myself) i can hold an intelligent conversation with him. however, his obsession with certain things and rules drives me nuts. Don't know how you cope with it sometimes steph and you deserve a medal

Yes his maths is incredible as is his mental english yet he struggles to write. In his brain he is massively articulate but he has real issues in relating it to other people which is a true shame.

Autism/aspergers side of things

The child is on the autistic spectrum.

It is just that as soon as colour of skin was mentioned then all hell got let loose but this child has been reporting incidents of bullying for the last two years and was told to "raise above it"

Not at all, my mate thinks that serious bullying has taken place and the school have point blank refused to accept it. I could pm you with many many details of what has happened in the past which i cannot put up here
