Dean Marshall and The Deputies were in the early 60s Barry Marshall Pete Jackson Roger Jackson Richard Holroyd & Raymond Hind Pete,and his band The Hillbillycats play at the Upperthorpe Hotel the last Friday in the month.Well worth a visit.

Midland Counties Ices,used to be on Burnaby Street.All the ices were wrapped,and came from Birmingham. Truffellis from Owlerton,there's was nice ice cream.

I used to love all the Swop Shops in Attercliffe.We used to catch the 17 bus from near the Essoldo at Barnsley Road,Lane Top.Just to look in the Swop Shops,and ride Banners escaltor.Brilliant!!!
