  2. Of late its skyfall. Duvet days usually consist of... The Hobbit, Trsnsformers, Raiders of the lost ark, The fellowship of the ring, pans labrynth, The wolfman-blue ray. The woman in black.
  3. Hi mate, how much are your 2nd hand ones??im after a smallish one.
  4. That pub should do well with how its situated. The last tennants seem`d to have done a good job sprucing the place up,and looked very inviting when driving past. Never been a place thats looked busy for some strrange reason. Shame really, but that can be said all over the city, its the breweries and landlords fault. Wouldnt they much rather have a pub open paying maybe 75%rent,or an empty pub that would become dilapidated and turned into another effing convienience store. I used to frequent in the blue bell hackenthorpe-now a shop, and the frecheville hotel-been empty for 4 years.. Too many fat cats getting Fatter.
  5. Brill win for both clubs, looking at there positions in the new year, both have plenty to play for. Forget midtable mediocrity, keep the runs going and get to within 6 points of 6th place. Well do-able. Look up,not down.
  6. overheads and people with no money in there wallets. growing trend.
  7. H i all, after giving up my last greenhouse and leaving it at our old house, ive been without one for 2 seasons and had to rely on bought plants and plants from mum and dads greenhouse-but christ i miss my pottering around and setting seeds. Ive tried and failed growing things in the shed window(not enough light) I have a very large but tiered garden that needs to be child friendly. I have a space in a nook next to the shed about 4ft square that would be the only place to have a greenhouse but would have to be bespoke enough to fit and weather resistant enough to run power into it for a heater. Any ideas guys?
  8. If we play at the same tempo and break quickly like we have done against Villa,Fulham and forest.Wendy or charlton wont be a problem.
  9. Rubbish. My nannan didnt live with us at home, she was in a residential home 6months previous to her death. So your`explanation`is just dogger.
  10. i go shopping in the co op on white lane all the time. unbelievable that the greatest band ever strutted there stuff in that building. what year was it?i cant remember the `azeena`im only 35.was it a nightclub?
  11. Just out of interest, what venues did the beatles play in sheffield? Is it true they played in the building on white lane that is now the Co op?
  12. When i was 10 my nannan passed away in february. The summer following that we went on our first holiday abroad just me,mum and dad.Previous holidays always involved my nannan coming with us,we would never have left her at home on her own. Anyway, upon our return after a fortnight,we got home.My dad went through the door first, followed by me then my mum.As we closed the door behind us my dad flicked the hall light switch on and we all looked at each other at the same time in silence and took a breath of air in-my mum broke the silence and said"Mum.I can smell mi mams perfume" It was so distinctive and strong it was unbelievable. My mum filled up with tears but was humbled. It was as if she came to greet us upon our return. The perfume was `charlie` it was all my nan ever used, and there wasnt a bottle in the house. A strange, but warm expierience.
  13. ive no sypathy whatsover for road cyclists. They are a big frustration of mine and most have no commonsense and think they own the road. NO-you do not have the right of highway before a motor vehicle-if you feel you have the right then you should pay road tax like drivers do. If you dont like it,get on the paths and stay out of our way. Pah!
  14. Whilst our pathways and roads here in frecheville are undergoing improvement, they are leaving a great big eye-sore behind-GRASSVERGES. Everyone parks on them, they physically look shoddy and crap, whilst doing the tarmaccing works, rip the lot up and tarmac the lot, giving everyone more space to park off road-and the sludged up eyesores gone. The only decent looking ones left are full of dog poo anyway-get rid of em!!!
  15. Best sausage weve had are the tomatoe ones from a butchers in swallownest. Meaty, tasty and keep there shape when cooked, unlike the much cheaper ones. They arnt cheap though,8 links came to £4.30,but well worth it
  16. Hi,i bought some frozen basa fillets the other week and im pondering which way to cook them. Tips and recipies?
  17. Disagree. Glad the kid isnt as serious as first thought, but traffic signals would encourage etiqutte at that junction. If the bus was waiting in a que then the static traffic would do also. But that is for a seperate thread i suppose, regarding wastes of money on council spending etc. Glad the childs grandparent has shed some light on it,and im sure he`ll bounce back like kids do bless him.
  18. it does need traffic lights at the top of there with a filter light to let people turn right down occy lane. It also needs a filter light on the set of lights on the crossroads further down at the tram stop.Turning right onto birley moor road is a danger on there. Hope the little one pulls through.x
