Yeah should be for all members of society, speaking as a person who also enjoys a barbeque and certainly more than a few beers . Wasn,t having a go at the kids , just the vast amount LITTER, or maybe that appeases YOU and your KIND.

Just been for a most ( largely) enjoyable walk round rother valley park,Enjoyed the walk the scenery, and the sunshine until reaching chavs corner, regular users of the park will know where i mean, just before the entrance to the cable jet ski. Ankle deep in empty beer cans , barbecue rubbish and mc donalds , kfc wrappers ect. surely the wardens know that it is spoiling the enjoyment of the vast majority of the park users, any chance of this area being policed by the wardens a little better , or as i suspect dont they care.PS, got nothing at all against young people , i respect there values, would just like them to respect ours

Was on claywheels lane this morning and noticed 3 or 4 cars parked up all along the lane leading down to abbey forgings. on driving past i saw at least 6 anglers fishing in the river.Now i know yorkshire has by laws during the close season allowing fishing with worm only, but i dont believe for one minute that was the only bait they were using.Seems to me that they were blatantly flouting the close season law,not saying i totally disapprove if this really was the case, good on em , its about time somebody started the ball rolling to as to overturn this outdated nonsense that serves very little ( if any ) purpose at all.Interested to hear what you forummers think.

Just had our new conservatory finished and wondered if anyone had blinds fitted that dont cost more than the bloody conservatory !!!

used to catch the odd trout in the early 60,s while fishing shallow for the roach,The "GREEN UN "used to run a fish of the week competition back then ( can anyone remember that )and i can vaguely remember asking mr sibring ( the owner ) to verify a scraggy brownie i had foul hooked and wanted to enter, think he politely declined ,but saw a few good brownies several times after that.

Couldn,t agree more £14 for an 8 year old is ridiculous, Took the grandkids to oldham for £3 each ( yes £3 ) and just got tickets for pne £5 each for the kids, surely thats the way to encourage young supporters into our grounds, not ripping them off when there will be 10,000 plus empty seats.

My sunday mornings are ruined now that the green un has risen to a quid, would not dream of paying that much on principal, even though i have throughly enjoyed the paper for more years than i care to remember,used to read it from cover to cover and it kept me in touch with all the local teams, and had a brilliant non league section, havent played myself for 30 odd years but loved to look for the old teams that i played for.They had a bit of reporting for everything local cricket, local crown green bowling, 25 years ago section and a very good fishing section.they even reported on minority interests like sheffield united , though i am sure this this was limited to a couple of paragraphs lol. At more or less the same time the news of the world ceased to exist ( and rightly so ) but the notw football and sport coverage was second to none,and though i have tried the other sunday tabloids they are not in the same league as notw. in my humble opinion.I have no interest whatsoever of current or world news on a (sunday morning only) sunday mornings for me was feet up time and a couple of hours reading all things footy, but sadly no more. Ps wont be bored this sunday morning, guess where i,m going

cross underbank off the list, been today and never had a rap, it was blowing an absolute howler, didnt cast into the same spot all day but not using that as an excuse, you would have thought that the roach or a footballer would have at least enquired , but nothing!!!. Was a few pike anglers about and they didnt seem to be catching either, the water was a horrible brown/ black colour probably due to the gale force wind churning the mud up.Never really known underbank fish well as the winter approaches ( coarse fish )so like i said i am crossing this one off the list for this season.
