  1. You can order the jumpers direct from the school office ( they should be open ) as for the rest of the uniform it can be picked up anywhere as it's just the usual black shoes, trousers/skirt and polo top ( asda is good for the majority)
  2. A favourite in our house was fried cheese and onion, with fresh crusty bread to mop up the juices, real heart attack material but delicious all the same.
  3. Thanks for all your advice everyone, I went with Shandi's suggestion and got the karrimor one's from sports direct. Best of all they were in the sale for £12
  4. Thanks everyone, He's a size 4 so men's shoes wont fit him, he'll still need the children's sizes ( even though he's almost 15 ) Does anyone know if the sports shops such as sports direct will sell them. If not it looks like we'll be taking a trip to go outdoors.
  5. My son needs a pair of lightweight walking shoes for a 2 week school trip next month. Does anyone know if there any places in meadowhall where i can buy some or will i need to go to the specialist shops? He only needs a very cheap pair as the chances are he will leave them behind when he comes home, and even if he does manage to bring them home he will probably never wear them again:roll:
  6. I'm having the same problem with Milly. All that i have been doing is getting a dry towel and rubbing her until it all falls off.
  7. Milly usually loves the snow, i took some video footage of her chasing snowballs yesterday and just having fun playing in it, but i don't think that she was expecting it to be so deep this morning:hihi:
  8. As the tittle says, Milly got a right shock this morning when i opened the back door. She spent a few minutes eyeing up the snow wearily, before deciding to be brave and step outside.... Where she promptly fell into 2ft of snow, Which being a 1ft Jack Russell was a bit of a shock. All that i could see of her was a little face poking out of the snow. I grabbed the camera and as if right on cue the batteries failed.. Anyway, to cut a long story short, Milly promptly brought herself back into the house where she got straight onto the sofa and placed herself into the recovery position, she's been there ever since
  9. I have not been on the forum long but Happyhippy struck me as one of the good guys, my thoughts are with Sheffkim and the family. R.I.P Happyhippy
  10. Poor thing, it must have been terrified. I hope the lad manages to find the owner.
  11. whoops, sorry folks the bold didn't work... The point i was trying to make, is that half way through the article it states, Police were called to the scene immediately and it is believed the suspect was arrested shortly after. Yet at the end of the article it says "No one has been arrested at this time and enquiries are ongoing." So does anyone know which statement is correct ?
  12. A TERRIFIED Sheffield woman was raped at knifepoint after being dragged from the street on to an isolated footpath. The 21-year-old victim - described by friends as a "brilliant, beautiful person" - was attacked as she walked through Shirecliffe. The attack comes less than two weeks after a 14-year-old girl was raped while walking home from school alone through a copse less than two miles away at Foxhill. Police said it was "too early" to decide whether the two incidents are linked. Officers were yesterday interviewing people living nearby and searching the crime scene for clues. It is understood a knife has been recovered from land around the footpath, which runs from Musgrave Road to Parkwood Springs. The woman raped in Shirecliffe was walking along Musgrave Road at about 8.30pm on Tuesday when she was dragged up the footpath and assaulted. The attacker made off towards Parkwood Springs and the sobbing victim went to one of the houses at the Musgrave Road end of the alleyway for help. Janice Taylor, whose husband Alan answered the door to the shaking woman, said: "We were sitting watching the television when we heard someone knock twice on the front door. My husband said 'who is it at this time of night?' "He answered the door, then he put his sweatshirt on to go out and help her. He said it was a young woman who was terrified. "She had told him a young man had dragged her up the gennel and held a knife to her throat. "The woman asked my husband to take her to her friends. She was in a right state. All her clothes were scruffy and she was covered in mud, she had lost her bag and had no shoes." Police were called to the scene immediately and it is believed the suspect was arrested shortly after. A friend of the victim said: "She's a brilliant, beautiful person and is really outgoing - she talks to anyone. It's such a shock. I can't get over the fact she's been attacked." Musgrave Road resident Nicola Robertson, 39, said: "The first I knew of this was when my son's friend called to walk to school with him and he told me there was a police man standing at the bottom of the entrance to the tip. "Nobody from the police has come round to tell me about the rape - it's frightening to think that this can happen so close to your home. "It has made me think twice about being out alone now - if I need to I will make sure I carry a personal alarm." A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police are investigating an allegation of a serious sexual assault on a 21-year-old woman in the Shirecliffe area of Sheffield. "The investigation is in its early stages and it is too early to suggest there are any links with any other similar incidents. "No one has been arrested at this time and enquiries are ongoing." Anyone with information about the Shirecliffe attack should call Ecclesfield CID on 0114 296 4516 It doesn't quite make sense, Does anyone know if an arrest has been made or not ?
