This is form a police forum asking if an instructor can use a phone: In the situation you describe, it is an offence due to an amendment to the The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986; The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) (No. 4) Regulations 2003 regulation 110; 110.— (1) No person shall drive a motor vehicle on a road if he is using— (a) a hand-held mobile telephone; or (b) a hand-held device of a kind specified in paragraph (4). (2) No person shall cause or permit any other person to drive a motor vehicle on a road while that other person is using— (a) a hand-held mobile telephone; or (b) a hand-held device of a kind specified in paragraph (4). (3) No person shall supervise a holder of a provisional licence if the person supervising is using— (a) a hand-held mobile telephone; or (b) a hand-held device of a kind specified in paragraph (4), at a time when the provisional licence holder is driving a motor vehicle on a road. To be honest i am going to change instructors anyway cos it hardly sets a good exampe even it is leagl which im sure its not.

I have lessons with a popular school on here and am getting really annoyed at my instructor who is always texting or using internet on his phone. I am going to tell him but before i do does anuone know if this is legal cos he is meant to be in control of the car ? Not to mention i pay for the hour and want his attention !

I rang the council to as why the lights went up so early.I spoke to the man who is charge of the lights and he said it was cos they needed the space in the store room for the summer planters ! What a farce.

I will be coming to protest against the Anti-social moronic organisers of the protest who have pasted hundreds of posters all over the city centre,will you be spending hours scraping them off or will it be the the streetforce team who are already working all hours gritting? What gives you the right to deface the city and then protest about the behaviour of other organisations?

The empty plot of land near the station seems to be used for parking at the moment,dont know how much they are charging though,saw a dishy guy on the gate though x
