I had some really small sweet bananas a few years ago in Cuba. Absolutely delicious. OP wouldn't have been happy though. The current popular Cavendish ones were developed at Chatsworth if my memory serves me reet.

For me Jaflong was always decidedly average. But the very best of luck to them opening up on Eccy Road which can be a tough nut to crack.

I remember walking up Spital Hill as a young un and the road being lined with BMWs and people selling £5 bags of weed... you'd plead with them for just a little but more and they'd usually oblige... Good times. I miss The Kashmir and Mangla...

If near to you, I'd recommend Cafe Indus on London Road. Their curries are tremendous.

Memories of being young for me suppin' were a choice of Stones, Wards or Whitbread Trophy. All absolute ****e beers. The only good thing was you could drink 8 or 9 pints and still feel alreet in the morning, although the Wards used to make your farts proper stinky. Thank god things have improved beyond recognition.
