  1. Not been for a while but I seem to remember that Akbars in West One have some high chairs. They're open early doors from 5pm too.
  2. My mate and stepdaughter both had theirs sorted here. https://www.sheffieldclutchrepairs.co.uk/contact_us
  3. What is your source for this information?
  4. I care. I regard Hendo's as part of Sheffields fabric and part of our culture. I think it's tremendous that the building has been restored to its former glory. And Hendo's relish is just the best too...I've introduced people all over the world to it and they love it too.
  5. Looks tremendous... a big part of Sheffields history and culture.
  6. Give me London Road/ Abbeydale Road any time of day. Better boozers and better restaurants IMO although I do quite like Mount Lebanon and Maveli.
  7. I wouldn't pay a quid a pint for any of that rubbish. Absolutely yuk. Rather pay £5/pint and have a decent pint than 3 pints of cheap, tasteless nastiness, but each to their own.
  8. Just been sent this article off Facebook.... after 2 disappointing curries this weekend near Bradford, I'm definitely off there next weekend... 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐙𝐈𝐋 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐅𝐒 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐎𝐖𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐓 Beloved Indian restaurant, Manzil Spice - Bar & Restaurant, located on Ecclesall Road has undergone a significant transformation since November 2023 with new management and a team of chefs from a renowned restaurant that some of you will be familiar with, Mangla, which sadly closed its doors in 2022. "We are thrilled to welcome such talented chefs to our team. Their wealth of experience and passion for Indian cuisine perfectly aligns with our vision to reclaim our status as a culinary landmark in the city. The high ratings on Google reviews and TripAdvisor are a testament to the exceptional dining experience we are providing and in response to the overwhelming success, we have decided to extend our opening hours and are now open on Mondays." The curry house was on Spital Hill for almost 40 years and built up a huge following for its traditional Indian and Kashmiri dishes which you can now enjoy at Manzil Spice. From their signature aromatic lamb and chicken handi, prepared with a traditional Balti recipe, to their Manzil Mix Platter and house specialties like the creamy butter chicken and fiery chicken jalfrezi. There is something for everybody. The change comes as a breath of fresh air for patrons who have long cherished the authentic homemade flavours and ambiance of Mangla. "I have fond memories of dining at Mangal, and I can't wait to see what the chefs have in store for us," remarked a longtime customer. 𝟐𝟎% 𝐎𝐅𝐅 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 (𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞): www.manzilspice.com Monday: 5pm-10pm Tuesday: Closed Wednesday: 5pm-10pm Thursday: 5pm-10pm Friday: 5pm-10:30pm Saturday 5pm-10:30pm Sunday: 5pm-10pm
  9. I can do the windmill by myself after 7 pints.
  10. Tried to book a room for August today... Sheffield hotel didn't come up...
  11. This little imp has moved.... maybe a new hunt the imp game devised by the staff...
  12. St Paddy's day is good for the craic, few pints of Guinness. But I've absolutely no interest in doing owt for St George's day...
  13. Nah, not for me at all. This world isn't a nice place and it will only get worse. I also prefer to work less hours and travel.
  14. I fathered none. Best decision I ever made.
  15. I might be wrong, but I think they now only do takeaways.
  16. When you're self employed £22.20 per hour isn't enough, even if you got a guaranteed 8 hours at that rate. You've got to cover sickness, van, fuel, holidays, pension, tools, clothes, accountants etc. I know cleaners who charge more than that... and rightly so. As a tradesman, I'd look at minimum of £250/day and ideally £300-£400 / day. The minimum wage shouldn't be used as a barometer for good pay... it isn't. It's an absolute minimum and most people will need support from the state if they are living on that sort of money.
  17. I've got some Greggs Crocs. My mates son bought 'em for me as a joke. But they're brilliant. Super comfy, ideal for the beach and weigh nothing in your suitcase. My missus can't stand the sight of them but I wear them frequently.
  18. Maybe Green King or Spoons need to sort a strategic partnership involving a micropub in every branch of Greggs so they've got the entire golden Mile including the Moor sorted. Some reyt pint of Ruddles/sausage roll combo deals on offer.
  19. I think it looks tremendous. I'm gonna book a night in a room overlooking Peace Gardens and have a weekend pretending to be a tourist in Sheffield.
  20. Perfect for a Greggs' crawl... Nice easy route.
  21. IMO The Museum is bloody awful... dreadful drink options. Miserable staff. I'll never go again. Greene King is a terrible brewery run by accountants who no idea about decent beers.
  22. Maybe you don't. But I like an appropriate, strategic balance of residential, commercial and industrial properties within the city centre... People living in the centre contribute towards a dynamic and lively city, otherwise we just have a souless downtown USA type places that's are quiet after 9pm.
