hi,
Â
Does anyone have contact details for the lady who is getting rid of her old sewing machine? (she mentioned it on tuesday). I've got a friend that would be interested
Â
thanks!
-
That sounds about right - don't know why i didn't think to just count forward!
Â
Don't worry about knitting ability there are lots of lovely ladies that will be able to help you.
-
I'm all confused with christmas etc - can someone tell me when the next meet is please?
-
has anyone got any crochet hooks or knitting needles or yarn they don't want? We are starting knit and natter at school and are having problems finding decently priced packs of crochet hooks.
-
I got given a knitting machine but I'm struggling to get it cast on and then get it off the machine without it unravelling. I'm sure there must be an easy way to do it - i just don't know what!
-
I've started. hoping to get the kids at school knitting them too as seems like a simple pattern and therefore good starting point.
-
I do a mixture, sewing, xstitch, occasionally watercolours, knitting, crochet, card making, scrapbooking, ummmm think that's it. I did a bit of glass fusing for a while and felting and jewellery making but I didn't really take to those or I didn't have the necessary equipment. I quite like trying my hand at new crafts - always on the look out for interesting new ideas.
-
I'm not sure if i've left it a bit late but I'd like to get some things planted for winter. I've got brussels, leeks and parsnips that will hopefully last through the winter but am looking for other ideas. I'd just like to make better use of the allotment this winter as last year all we had was two beds of leeks.
Â
Thanks!
-
i've started on this - made only two so far and they are pompom less as i've mislaid the pompom maker somewhere!
-
not balancing too badly.
Â
Have managed to track owner down but as is not local have managed to track down someone locally who knows what they are doing. they are on way to collect.
Â
Thanks for all help!
-
yes it is injured
-
unfortunately not. It can't fly - has a big dent in it's chest although it is eating and drinking
-
I found an injured racing pigeon on my allotment and we've checked the tag number but it just says owner not known and to leave message with local organisation (which I've done).
Â
I can't keep the pigeon at my home due to other pets - the vets and rspca seem to be closed. Any ideas gratefully received!
-
my car has broken down again so don't think I'm going to be able to make it this time.

i'm looking more for a social club rather than competitive?
-
I saw a poster in stannington village the other day about badminton on wednesdays nearby and when I went to note down the details of where and what time the poster had gone. don't suppose anyone knows the details?
-
could you be more specific about what you want knitted?
-
I find fine fabrics a bit pricey.
Â
If you want cottons (£1.10 metre) then there is a great little shop called Darnall Textiles near the library in Darnall. There is also fabric section in castle market.
Â
I tend to pop into The Sewing Machine in glossop when I'm passing as they always have a section of fabrics for £1 a metre
