Just because my business doesnt look like it's heaving all the time doesnt mean it's not being a roaring success and too be honest I am overwhelmed with the success I have had in my first year. Not only did I win an award for flower shop of the year from the flower council of holland, but i am also moving to Sharrow Vale Road in April.` I recieve fantastic feedback from my customers which keep coming back time and time again.........sorry to blow my own trumpet but I reckon I am allowed to after your comments!!!!

oh my god cant beleive you are that bothered over little things like that and actually take time to look back at messages vry strange. By the way at the end of the day all florists are different prices the same as clothes shops, shoe shops, supermarkets etc....you pay for what you get yeah i could do a dozen red roses for £20 if I wanted to but the roses will be of poor quality so whats the point!!! If anyone buys from me they will receive top notch flowers at the right price!

at the end of the day flowers are a luxury item the same as going for a slap up meal and spending a ton on it at the end of the day at least you get several days of enjoyment out of flowers and there are people out there that only get flowers on special occasions and look forward to receiving them at special times it's all down to personal preference but whats the harm in a little luxury now n then!!

right then fellas here goes for a 6 red rose bouquet (mine are using the finest long stem passion roses or some very special ecuadorian roses with massive heads the size of a fist) with really cool funky foliage such as curlde aspidistra leaves - £30 this is presented beautifully in gorgeous wrap and in water and in a very slick looking black boxed bag a dozen as above - £60 single top notch red rose £14 again presented spot on!! Or for something a bit different I do a red rose/tropical funky bouquet using flowers such as Anthuriums, these are wicked for someone with a bit of style and like things a bit different - These start at £20 Delivery will be £2.50 to most areas just ask all my prices above include a decent discount so mention the forum to me!! call or pm m e 0114 2302002 Just to add boots, marks, asda, wherever ..wherever the are simply just not as nice and personal as a special hand tied one from a florist and lets face it us ladies like to feel like we have been treat!!

can i just say that it isn't florists that inflate there prices it is the growers and wholesale outlets due to supply and demand, I know that I only put on my usual mark up and i can assure my roses will be of the finest quality not only from the dutch guys but also from ecuador which have huge heads. Yes roses will last around 10 days but they are a beautiful statement and from the right florist they will be presented absolutley beautifully!!

hi there i have just read your post and i am concerned my sister lives basically on the corner of linley lane /normanton hill she has just had a baby with her fella, she is often ill since living there and bang at the back of her house is what used to be a tip for 20 years + every night they burn off the methane from it, I wonder if there is a link there, there couldbe something txic that was onc dumped at the tip, let me know your thoughts??

Hi all I have decided to go for a single storey extension to my house in S11 (a typical Victorian terrace villa style) I need help firstly with planning permission (will i need it) What should it cost (dont want to be ripped off) How long should it take? and is there anyone on here that can recommend a good builder thats reasonable??
