just got to say last night i was a trial ginea pig for the new restaurant that as opened in whats gonna be a great spot in sheffield that is leaopold square the restaurant is called platillos and its a cool as funky bar downstairs n a wicked restaurant upstairs, to say it was one of their 1st nights the food and service was fantastic it's a tapas style restaurant but it's a mix of dishes from all around the world!! my fave was the sicillian chicken stew....lush! highly recommend forumers try it here!

Hi all, thought i would call in on your fantastic help forumers, in a few week i will be moving house we have a 3 bed terraced with attic and cellar and have some reasonably sized pieces of furniture hence we need someone to be the lifters and luggers for the day with suitable transport ie large trnsit or something??? We dont want to go down the major removal company route as in past experience they are well over priced any help or recommendations appreciated... ps we are only moving about 300 meters away from our current house so not far to travel.

the gig on saturday night was awesome, Alex is a pure genius the lads just bang out the tunes perfect every time and the new tunes are banging live, it was a priveledge to be there, the 'still down to earth moment' for me was me n my fella turned up about 8.15pm and as we wer pulling up Matt(drummer) and Jamie(guitar) wer just strolling up on there own from the bus station just with a big bag, all on there own like they had just jumped on the number 80 bus from high green and like they were just going for a swift half somewhere........pure class!

That Restaurant Is Absolutely Vile, Went Once And I Would Say It Was The Worst Meal I Have Ever Has In Sheffield, It Is Meant To Be An Italian..mmmmm Yeah Sont Think So We Only Ordered The Basics Pasta Any Restaurant That Claims To Be Italian Should At Least Do A Bolognese Decently It Just Tasted Like A Tin Of Heinz And There Was Tons Of The Vile Sauce The Pasta Was Swimming In The Boiled Cheap Mince And Bland Tomatoes, My Other Halfs Canneloni Again The Same Vile Burnt Garbage. We Complained And They Just Avoided Our Table After That It Took Them About Half An Hour Of Us Just Sat There With Our Untouched Mains In Front Of Us Before They Just Whisked The Plates Away Without Saying Anything ,,,,then Our Bill Came We Just Left The Money For The Wine We Had Plus An Exrtra Quid. The Best Bit On The Top Of The Receipt It Say Santinos "not Just An Italian Restaurant!" My Hubby Went Up To The Owner And Thoroughly Complained Then Picked Up A Pen And Scribbled Out The "just" On The Headline And Past It Back To Him Reading "not An Italian Restaurant" To Which The Owner Just Shrugged His Shoulders Not Bothered..hence We Will Never Return Vile , Vile , Vile!

THE BIGGEST SUPRISE FOR ME IS MARCO AT MILANOS WITH NO STARS ON THE LISTING IT SAYS MILANOS BUT HAVE CHECKED AND ITS SAME ADDRESS (AM I RIGHT?) IF SO i ACNT BELEIVE IT AS IT IS ONE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE RESTAURANTS IN SHEFF THIS SURELY WILL DAMAGE THERE REPUTATION BIG TIME...................?

I was wondering if this is a common occurence in sheff?? I am moving location in sheffield to an area that is buzzing and has a massive footfall, in this area there are several business's of the same nature and a couple of weeks go I received a phone call from one of the owners of one of my competitors saying "Not to open in that area and go to another area and not to waste my money cause I will have no chance also mentoning that there other half was very ruthless" all this was in a very threatening manner................my response was just a very laid back attitude to it and more or less told em to get a grip.....what are forumers thought on this and has anyone ever heard of a similiar scenario??

oh yes i agree used to live that side of town i miss stans also manor top shippy is very nice!!

two steps used to be good it hasnt been now for about a year constantly soggy thick batter and slimey fish you cant beat bannercross fisheries proper tasty fish n chips and crispy light batter!!

I eat there nearly every week, hence my favourite restaurant, as far as i know it hasnt changed hands but they have reduced the opening hours now which is fair do's but the sunday evening close is a bit strange as most restaurants on eccy road are very busy sunday eve's. Just hope it doesnt close due to lack of local support! its fab and the staff are too!!

i was really peed of at the scum touts outside they were proper evil rats that were so aggressive and ripping innocent fans of big style they wouldn't take a penny less than £90 a ticket me n my mates stayed there till after 9pm when they were due on stage n some touts still had tickets and wouldn't part with em for less..arseholes it needs sorting out!!
