  1. hi all! just watched hairy bikers cooking programme on BBC2 and after featuring breakfasts, I'm really fancying a fry up tomorrow but would like to know where you all think the best place in sheffield city centre is to get one?? thanks! x
  2. Hi all, So I've been getting cabin fever and decided that with 3 days to go until my due date, I would take a quick drive to my local shop to pick up some magazines. When I arrived at the car park, I got out the car and realised the seat was wet as was my jeans, I swiftly got back into the car and drove home! I've just got in and took off my jeans and (sorry if tmi!) smelt them as I've heard that amniotic fluid doesn't smell. I don't really think its got much of a smell to it so I've put clean underwear and a maternity pad on and am just lying down now waiting to see if the pad gets wet or not. Does this sound like my waters have broken? I don't think its bladder weakness as I literally went for a wee just before I went out the door but I'm not 100% sure if my waters have broken and am not sure whether to ring the hospital or not. Can anyone help? Helen 39+4
  3. Hi all, I have to go to the Jessops Wing tomorrow up at the hospital and I know there is a multi storey car park just down the road, does anyone know the opening hours?? I have to be at the hospital for roughly 7.30am but don't know whether the multi storey car park will be open by then as I know the car parking at the hospital itself is a nightmare!! can anyone help?? xx
  4. Hi Mimi, I'm in same boat as you, I'm due on 4th November and a first time mum, I've been in sheffield for a couple of years now! We've bought the major things now so its just a case of buying nappies etc to get us through those first few weeks, its so daunting because you don't want to over do it but then you don't want to be going to ASDA at 3am because you've ran out of something!! Hope you're keeping well! x
  5. Hi all, I'm 29 weeks pregnant today (eek!) and haven't got any antenatal classes booked yet, I've had mixed opinions as to whether it's actually worth going to any, what do you all think? Did you go to any? Did you find them beneficial? My MW hasn't been great at things like that and when I've asked her, she's just sort of shrugged it off saying it's up to me to decide. Any help would be much appreciated!
  6. Hi all! I'm in dire need of my hair chopping but as I'm 6 months pregnant, would be a lot easier for someone to come to the house! Is anyone a mobile hairdresser who would be able to come to my house in the S2 area to do a cut and blowdry, preferably next week or can anyone recommend a good mobile hairdresser? Thanks!
  7. hi all, I've got my 12 week scan in a couple of weeks and was just wondering how long it roughly takes? and what peoples experiences have been like as I've heard mixed reviews!! Also, how many people are allowed in the room with you? My dad just happens to be staying with me at the same time and was wondering whether I'd be able to have him in with me at some point as well as my boyfriend?
  8. whats the name of this one?? do they do hair styling?
  9. Brilliant thanks! Is his name on here just alanhanson? think i found him. what did the £18 include? was it wash, cut and blowdry or a drycut?
  10. Morning! Just wondering if anyone can recommend decent hairdressers in sheffield that actually do what you ask and not what they think your hair should look like and that dont charge an absolute bomb? I moved here in sept and am in desperate need of a haircut, am thinking of having it restyled so i need someone to do what i ask for and not what they think might suit me instead (weve all had experiences of that lets face it!) Thanks!
  11. have you ever had an 8900? ive just been looking around and this has got brilliant reviews!
  12. Great thanks, which model are you on at the moment? any youve had which you can recommend?
  13. .... a Blackberry Curve 8520 or not? I'm in dire need of a new phone as my touch screen LG is starting to die on me and have been told the Blackberry Curve 8520 is a great phone! However, I have also heard mixed reviews of Blackberrys and could do with some more input! Has anyone got one or know whether its worth me spending the money on one? Thanks!
  14. ooooo thanks will try it! oh im a tight ass as well!
