  1. Hi we currently have a garage roof that is in urgent need of attention, it's a flat felt roof but ideally would like a apex tiled roof, could anyone recommend someone to do it, and roughly how much would it cost ? Cheers.
  2. I have the schwalbe marathon plus, more expensive but haven't had a puncture in 2 years, I have them on my mountain bike and my road bike, i got the 700x23 they are spot on.
  3. Does anybody know if they are still going, I have been calling to try and book my bike in, but for the past week or so it goes straight to voicemail, I left a message after the first call.
  4. I am in the process of gutting my kitchen, after rmoving the floor tiles there is a damp patch in the bottom corner of the extrernal wall. The other side of the wall is the outside drain where the kitchen sink drains. Upon inspection this appears to be water may be getting in. It lookslike some silicon seal was put there and that has fell off. What is the best way to get this sorted ? Will exterior seal do the job ?
  5. Hows about don't park on the grass simples. They should enforce all of these fines and then people would stop parking where they like just to save them a bit of time, and all of the damage done by idiots parking on the grass.
  6. Don't bother with Halfords, they are a waste of time, made the mistake of taking mine there never been the same since. try: http://www.nickrobinson.info/clients/sheffcycles/index.php Quite close to where you are, he's repairing mine as we speak.
  7. you could try GIMP: http://www.gimp.org/
  8. Why I cycled in no probs today, it was great going past all of the stuck cars ...
  9. Could anyone recommend anywhere in Sheffield that runs a bicycle maintenance course, I have started commuting to work and wanted to start maintaining my own bike rather than paying everytime something needs doing. I have seen that Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative run a course and wandered if it was any good, or whether anywhere else was worth going for. Cheers.
  10. Will be trying this place this week at lunch time, looking forward to it after reading all good comments on here. If it is good will prob come with friends one evening.
  11. I recently used travelex. http://www.travelex.co.uk/uk/ order online and either pick it up at airport or they will send it you. They will also beat any other place for rates.
  12. Go to Lily's and get a B.E.S.T quality.........
  13. I cycle from Swallownest, straight down sheffield road, through Handsworth down to the Asda. Turn left and at the top of the slip road you can pick up a path that runs parallel witht the parkway, brings you out just up from cricket inn road, from there straight into town. Takes around 25-30 mins and its about 7miles.
  14. I have stayed at the Hilton, which is ok, but the Leopold is very good, and last time I was there it was cheaper than Hilton, location wise its right in the centre, but like mad_hatter states all depends what you want.
  15. If you do park at meadowhall, use the park and ride, near the train station, thats what its designed for. Im pretty sure its free, it used to be when I used it eveyday.
