  1. Casanova on Crookes - lovely food and the owner, Salvatore, is a great host
  2. Some people are so negative. Fair enough if the food is rubbish, but just saying 'marketing at it's finest' is not exactly a proper review of the place. Unfortunately we live in a world of marketing and if the little people got their marketing right then maybe they wouldn't be opening up and promptly closing within a year. I'm not a huge fan of 'chains' but there are some chains who do get it right ... I've not been to the Browns in town yet & if it is rubbish then that's a shame, as the one in Cambridge was really nice!
  3. Lucky you! Not the easiest job in the world at the moment ....
  4. No problem !! I do think the OP will find all he needs from the link WE posted though. If in doubt, ring them up & they will send someone out to verify. Seems a far safer bet than 'risking it' by thinking you 'might' be ok.....
  5. I posted that link at the the top of this thread .......... shows how much people seem to pay attention
  6. I thought the link I posted to the TV Licence website was fairly understandable - if you don't have a licence & think you don't need one, you still need to tell them. They will then send someone out to have a look & then they decide. I would have thought this would be the best bet rather than us all posting different opinions & potentially getting it wrong & giving bad advice.
  7. You need to let them know .... http://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/check-if-you-need-one/topics/what-if-a-tv-licence-is-not-needed-top12/
  8. Hi I've had a really good lunch today at The Milestone in Kelham Island. It is a popular venue for people meeting for business and social reasons, but I thought the food was excellent - it's even in next years Michelin Guide for eating out in pubs. You can easily find it on a google search but as I have posted fewer than 5 times I can't put the link here ..... it's the-milestone.co.uk. And no ...... I HAVE NO CONNECTION WITH THIS PLACE !! :-)
  9. Hi all ... first post and all that. I am looking for an old school friend of mine - Edward (Eddie) Wild. He is the same age as me (35) and went to Nether Green Middle School where he left in 1985. I'm not quite sure which secondary school he went to as I moved away from Sheffield for a few years at that time. I remember when we were at Nether Green together, he lived with his mum & step-dad (?) very near to the school in the Hangingwater area, just down the road. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Mike
