  1. Good Grief I'm amazed at the tittle tattle bickering some of you are giving each other lol! I ran the event and stood in the pens for an hour as I was there at 8.45 am before it should have started and there was a very faint message over a very poor tannoy system about the cancellation that hardly anyone heard including me. It was only when the runners started moving we thought it was ON. I had absolutely no idea as i hammered myself around the roads of Sheffield and i just thought the countless people handing out water were just being in total support of the runners and i've never seen so many handing water out. One guy who knew me that i saw ran after me with a bottle and said you might need this. I was still unaware. Ecclesall road was Amazing and almost brought tears to my eyes such was the support. I got back to the finish with a PB of 1.36.29 and got the Medal and T shirt etc and only then did I get to know. Yes it was a massive farce not just with the water (and for the record there was no shortage of that) but the communication was the main issue and they even had one of those mega phones and still didn't walk down the rows of penned in runners to relay the message, that was the biggest issue i feel and not the water. The folk of Sheffield came out in their thousands to offer water and support, I feel extremely proud to be from Sheffield and to be one of the Rebel Runners! It was a day I will Never Forget
  2. Definitely closing, I know someone who works there.
  3. Give over, South Yorkshire has some beautiful places to visit right on out doorstep. As for Majorca well you need to travel away from the typical beach/tourist areas to see the real majesty that Majorca can offer, a truly stunning island and an absolute mecca for cycling & walking as is Yorkshire
  4. The route will be fully closed off with barriers and the many vehicles that accompany the tour, i'm sure no one will be allowed to walk onto the road in this area & if you did you would very quickly regret it. There will be no speed restrictions coming down there either. Cant wait
  5. Could always visit the longest trading cycle shop in Sheffield, Langsett, on Infirmary road. http://www.langsettcycles.co.uk/
  6. Just for you Confused. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=39802&highlight=camber+adjustment
  7. Indeed, seems there is far too much of it on here hence my lack of time on the forum. Truly sad to hear of anyone's death though especially in an incident like this.
  8. We use collect plus at work and haven't had any problems.
  9. Who are the others Haddy? I'd genuinely like to know if you can advise of them, I know hawleys do it too but you cant book it in there hence why I went to Kwik Fit. I think it'd be good to have a section on here of services like this if there isn't already. Kippy
  10. lol! it's a fair point Event but I can assure you I work at Langsett Cycles and not Kwik Fit. Come and see me at the shop if you need help with anything bike related though wont you
  11. They are a small company based in Loxley so no problem getting passed around, give them a try at least & if you get them out to you tell them Kippy from Langsett Cycles mentioned you. Andrew the boss rides a bike a bit thats why i know of them.
  12. Ooooops! lol! Try these guys, http://www.kingpinsheffield.com/page2.htm
