  1. I would rather put money in a bucket in a supermarket or go and buy something in a charity shop or donate to comic relief or something like that, makes you very suspicious when they come to door, as if you would give bank details to complete strangers even if they show you their ID card, fell for it once but cancelled straight after!
  2. Just got home from work last night at 7.30, sat in car and a figure walked past me to front door, I got out and actually scared them to death (lol)!! Why do they always seem to come at silly times? They were from UNICEF and said they were not collecting any money then just to leave some information, they came in for a few minutes and seemed ok but why if they were only leaving information would they get a form out for me to fill in giving bank details. I subsequently said this was not a good time as I had just got in, had a headache, was tired and my tea was ready, I apologised and said I wouldn't be donating anything, they left (there were 2 of them) a bit miffed I think. I would like to be in a position to donate to charities but I'm just not, why do they make you feel guilty, anyway rant over. Oh this was in Shiregreen, they said they were only in area for one day.
  3. The card is a waste of time, it doesn't serve any purpose whatsoever!!
  4. Does anyone know a bus or buses that will get me from Grenoside to Shiregreen or Morrisons at Ecclesfield please?
  5. Need new front tyre for clio but on a tight budget, recommendations please
  6. We go to Aldi and have no complaints, always cheaper than the big supermarkets, plenty to choose from.
  7. I was only asking davyboy, I would complain to landlord but they are crap at fixing things, and stop rolling your eyes at me
  8. Ours is so draughty and freezing, even in summer!
  9. Just curious, any sanctuary tenants have problems with doors and windows in this wind, our back door is making a right howling/whistling noise, front door lets a draught in too cos internal door is shaking, fed up now of the bangs and howls in this wind!!
  10. Maybe migraine symptoms, you should see your GP to see what the problem is
  11. Feel too old for town anyway even though I'm only 38 lol!
  12. Do they have dress codes for men these days down town, I haven't been down town in yonks and going out with friends and we may go to a club if still awake (lol) gonna feel old hehe.
  13. It's not national speed limit until your past deep lane and those junctions, before then it's 40 but people do silly things coming out of those junctions, both me and my hubby have had some numpty pull out on us. Just after one of the accidents last week we were driving down Bellhouse, and some idiot in a bmw or something similar came off Ecclesfield road not stopping at junction to Bellhouse pulled out straight in front of us causing us to swerve, they were too busy looking at the accident!!
  14. I haven't a clue, so annoying though when trying to sleep! Lol
  15. Hard not to hear the blooming thing, it was right over our house at stupid o clock this morning, before that heard car speeding up road followed by blue flashing lights, never dull in Shiregreen is it!!
  16. Had it checked a couple of times now, it's definately not starter motor or battery, been told its electrical, apparently Clios suffer from water ingress/ corrosion to wires etc, I haven't got much money to sort it out either, what should I do? Should i just get rid?
  17. Thanks, but seems to have sorted itself out now, don't know how or why but it's fine now ---------- Post added 20-11-2014 at 11:47 ---------- Car has gone again, actually worked Friday, Saturday, Sunday and went to work in it Monday, not starting again, spoke to ren parts who said prob ecu systems, called breakdown services, they said faulty starter motor, mechanic I use said its not that, blooming fed up now, can't afford to pay much to sort it out either
  18. Does anyone know a decent auto electrician who doesn't charge a fortune. My clio won't start, mechanic has done all he can, repaired my starter motor and replaced a relay and a few wires, got it revving but that's it, might be immobiliser or fault with key fob. Need sorting asap really.
  19. No only one key came with car, when turning key something inside is clicking when trying, feel like I've been done yet again!!! ---------- Post added 14-11-2014 at 12:03 ---------- Update, still no joy, mechanic thinks it's something to do with key fob/immobiliser apparently this is another common problem with renaults, nothing happens, not even radio will come on, fed up now, and he hadn't had his money yet, he can balls if he thinks he will get anymore off me!!!
  20. Right question for you knowledgeable car people, car battery appeared flat last week, needed new relay and starter motor, battery wasn't the issue, now the thing won't start cos immobiliser light flashing when trying to start engine, mechanic took key to his place of work to fit new battery in key fob, Central locking seems dodgy and works when it feels like it, diagnosis please, can't afford to spend more money on it, sell for spares or repairs, only bought the bugger in August!!!
  21. The older the better, don't like just ripe, but not too brown or black either, always have one cut up on my cereal in a morning
  22. That's disgusting, how people can steal from a Cemetary is beyond me, sick people!
  23. I wish they wouldn't come to your door though, if you want to give to charity you would do it yourself. We had them the other week nearly 9 at night too, we just don't answer the door, not being mean just can't afford to give to charity at the moment.
  24. Noooooo it's only blooming August!!!!!!
