  1. Just took out our old washing line pole but still has lump of concrete attached to it, anyone know anybody who would take it away?
  2. We have had this for a while now, it started in the kitchen, haven't seen any for a while but know they are still getting in somehow cos seen their slimy trails, anyone had this problem, if so how did you get rid of them?
  3. Not just offices, I get it too, I'm a cleaner at a school, most people are lovely and always say hello, but others just blank you. I always mutter under my breath, miserable sod or something like that, sometimes just feel invisible though.
  4. This morning I opened the curtains to an ambulance, police etc at the junction Sicey Ave/Nethershire Lane. There are so many accidents that happen at this junction. Whether it's people not concentrating on what they are doing, or just idiots who drive like they are on a race track I don't know but something had to be done about this junction.
  5. I always say I've got no change, which usually I haven't.
  6. We won't put anything in the front garden because of thieves. A few years ago we had about 10 troughs with flowers in on the front. We went on holiday, came back and one trough was missing, why pinch just one??
  7. I saw the same thing here yesterday in Shiregreen, wondered what it was at first this little thing hovering around the flowers, it was lovely to see actually.
  8. Black Bull Caravan Park in Pickering is nice, has a pub on site, kids playground, football etc, can rent caravans, take your own tourer or camping stuff, might be booked up though now.
  9. Just drove passed and noticed a police car near the sandwich shop and sunbed place and area taped off and I think it was owners car that had been on fire, anyone see what happened?
  10. Wasn't impressed at all by Netto on Kilner Way, didn't have a lot of stuff and we came away we half of what we usually get. Went to Lidl yesterday and that was rubbish too, big gaps on shelves, very messy indeed.
  11. Absolutely NOT, we are English and we are always getting told oh we can't do this and that or it might upset people or appear racist in some way, he/she shouldn't get away with it either!!
  12. I don't care really, Greece should get out while they can, we are not in it and should never join it, every country should take care of themselves and stop sticking their noses in other countries' affairs!
  13. Good luck, it would be nice to see something done with it but hope it's not another takeaway, too many of them already!
  14. One of the reasons I never go to town, hate the place.
  15. Might book a service and see if they can find out what's wrong that way, it's probably long overdue for one.
  16. It's come back on again and car really feels like it's struggling and really sluggish too, can't afford to get fixed if too expensive, bloody cars!!!
  17. Moaning about weather, cost of everything, potholes int roads etc etc lol
  18. Well whatever it was it seems to have sorted itself out after a good run today, thanks anyway.
  19. Thank you AMR67, hope it doesn't cost a lot to fix.
  20. It's petrol and I did look at the manual and the symbol says toxic fumes warning light and I don't know what it means that's why I was asking if anyone knew!!
  21. Any ideas what could cause this to come on?
  22. Me and my hubby are very new to gardening. We are in the process of creating some flower beds. Trying to cultivate the soil as best we can and have pulled no end of big stones out, roots, and clay I think. How much more do we need to do, will our soil be ok? We got one little part reasonably flat and planted some flowers yesterday, hope it wasn't too wet to plant. Is there any tips, do we need to mix any top soil or compost in? Also the rest of our garden is just pebbles and have dug many out ready to plant, there are lots!! Will it be ok to plant amongst them or will it hinder the growth? Also soil is very wet.
  23. This post is on Facebook, it was a couple in the car, wasn't a taxi, says driver may have been drunk and speeding, nobody is hurt.
