  1. Thank you all very much for you replies much appreciated.. I will definitely give your suggestions a try re the chain cafes/ wetherspoons and the libraries you all mentioned.. Cheers.
  2. Hi, I am looking for somewhere to go with my laptop and study an online course during the day for about a week. I can't do it at home for various reasons, and can't do it at work so need a neutral place. There are offices/work spaces you can rent but you're talking at least £50 a day so too expensive for me. Does anyone know of any libraries or anything that let you take you're laptop and stay all day? I mean I could go to Starbucks or something but Id look abit weird if I'm there for like 5 hours! I just need somewhere with WiFi where I can go without looking like a weirdo. I'm not an actual student either so wouldn't be able to use the universities study areas.. but that would be the perfect place really. Any suggestions would be great
  3. I'm wanting to learn how to produce music using Ableton but cannot find anywhere in Sheffield that teaches it. I've searched all over the Internet and all I can find is Red Tape but they are a loose end as I rang them and they said they have to wait for funding or something. I don't want to learn online, would rather pay more money and be taught face to face. The nearest places I can find are Manchester Midi school in Salford, and We Are Cross Fader in Leeds. These places look great and have exactly what I'm looking for but ideally wanted somewhere nearer. I can't believe a big city like Sheffield doesn't have this kind of course / school on offer by someone.
  4. Hi, does anyone know where you can learn how to DJ and produce music using Ableton / Logic etc. in Sheffield other than Red Tape. My friend is asking that's all.
  5. Hi, I'm currently studying towards my AAT Level 2 (Accounting Technician) and wondered if there was anywhere I could volunteer to get some work experience behind me. I've been on VAS (Voluntary Action Sheffield) website however there are no finance vacancies. I have also done all the usual job searches on Reed, Indeed etc. however they are all for fully qualified jobs and all require previous experience. So at some point I'm going to have to work for nothing just to get the experience even if I'm qualified. I really didn't think it would be that difficult to find someone willing to let you do work for them for nothing but that seems to be the case. George.
  6. Hi, yes I got this sorted in the end thanks, using an office near to where I live which doesn't usually offer a mail handling service but managed to do a deal. Thanks for all your responses.
  7. I need to drive to the Pontergate on Ecclesall Road S11 8NX (near the Nursery Tavern) then get back up to Crookes... what is traffic like around 7 / 7:30pm during the week? ---------- Post added 04-12-2012 at 20:49 ---------- *Portergate
  8. Maybe I didn't word it properly, I don't want the full service of a virtual office (i.e. answering telephones, mail forwarding, registered office, meetings rooms and all the rest) it's just the taking receipt of deliveries side of things we need, and in the S10 area (Crookes / Broomhill / Crosspool). If anyone is willing to negotiate this kind of service, even if it's not what you normally do, then please get in touch with me. Thank you
  9. Hi, I am looking a company that will receive all mail for me, sign for any signed for-deliveries, then give me 24hour access to collect when I want. I know the Shefield Workstation do this but its too far out my way. Also a PO Box would be no good as Royal Mail will not accept deliveries from other couriers (unless full Royal mail postage has been paid) which in most cases it won't have because they'll be sent by City Link, FedEx, UPS etc. Anyone know of any reliable companies that offer this kind of service? I don't need a virtual office, it's just mail handling. Many thanks
  10. I've been told I can get them from somewhere on the Moor but can't remember where. I don't want to buy them online, ideally somewhere I can just walk in and get them They are playing this coming Saturday the 5th of June. Any help please?
